When you order a sub, a sub is a sub, not a hamburger bun. Then when you order Nana pasta, you get lettuce in 3 pieces of meat. When you tell them you want extra meat, extra cheese, they give you 3 pieces of meat. Our subs are garbage. I do not recommend you going here very unsatisfied

Took a walk around town and ended up here. We sat at a table and got a few frozen slushies. We tried the peach and the black raspberry. Both were great. We sat and enjoyed watching others walk and ride bikes by as the sun set. It was a peaceful time. There was music playing, and no TVs which we found to be less of a distraction from having a conversation. I’d recommend stopping here having a Slushie or even one of their 20 beers on draft.

Don and Amanda are wonderful people and the King is an outstanding place for a beer with friends. Great ambiance and location close to the canal and the lakefront. I am originally a native of Sylvan Beach and I always come to the DK when I am back in the area. Highly recommend it!

This little candy store is right in eyes view of my Vrbo. Of course it caught my eye when we first drove by it. I’m a sucker for anything sweet.
Walking up to the store, I realized it’s next a pizza by the slice joint. How fun to have a candy next to a pizza place. We walked in and were instantly greeted. You instantly get color bombed by all the fun colors. There is so much fun stuff to look at!
There was a nice variety of salt water taffy and your common candy. There was fun old school sweets like wax bottles, bubble gum cigarettes and candy dots. By the register was a little display case of homemade fugdes. Everything looked so good!
We didn’t get anything this time around. I initially thought they sold ice cream here but they didn’t. I believe it was the owner I was talking to and he suggested a little ice cream joint a couple businesses down. I appreciate small business owners promoting other small businesses. I look forward to coming back and grabbing some goodies from them. Those salt water taffies are calling my name.
