Best fried catfish I have ever eaten. Best cheese curds you can get outside of Wisconsin or Minnesota. Their steaks and hamburgers are also great. I would actually eat there much more often than I do because of the great food, reasonable prices, friendly service and how close it is to my house, but it is cash only. No credit or debit cards, and I rarely carry cash, though they do have a bank machine if you want to pay $3 to get cash. I understand the reason behind some places being cash only, but like I said it is inconvenient for someone like me who hardly ever has cash on hand, so I have to plan to go there when I go to my bank (16 miles away) and remember to get cash.

Love Earl’s! Prime ribs are very good (when they have them) they are so good they run out often! The rib eyes are very good too! And the fish is amazing!

Enjoyed a meal here with friends. It is a casual, laidback diner environment. My friends got fried catfish which looked good. I loved the fried shrimp with macaroni salad. The onion rings were good too! Was grateful that they serve Coke, that’s always a relief. Note that it’s a cash-only establishment.

I’d NEVER buy food from some chump named “Earl”….. Sounds like a used car dealer, out in the middle of nowhere, selling cars from the early 80’s, and claiming they are top of the line pieces of engineering…. “Deals, deals, deals”!!!! Come talk to “Crazy Earl” about the best deals this side of the Mississippi!!!! Come check out this 250,000 Low Low miles 1981 Oldsmobile Delta 88 diesel engined beauty!!!! It barely runs, but gives it character…. IT’S GOT “poor man’s” LUMBAR SUPPORT (seat springs poking your rear), SEATS HAVE A MASSAGE BUTTON (zero exhaust so it massages your entire body), AN ADJUSTABLE REAR VIEW MIRROR (cuz you have to hold it manually to use it since it isn’t attached to the glass), A LOUD STEREO (80’s boom box in the back seat), AND IT ALWAYS HAS FRESH MOTOR OIL EVERY SINGLE DAY (cuz you have to add a quart after every hour of driving)….. AND YOU CAN FORGET THE STATE OF THE ART THEFT PREVENTION SYSTEM (car rarely starts without a jump start and 30 mins of cranking it over)….

I have been to Earl’s Supper Club several years ago with a group from church. Tuesday night of this week, I drove to West Union, Illinois to enjoy their delicious cat fish. There were eight in our group and I think every one of us ordered catfish. It was absolutely delicious, prices were very reasonable, and the staff was great. We have plans to go back.

If you want more than you can eat, this is the place. We ordered take-out of the all-you-can-eat catfish. They said approximately 20 pieces for 5 people. We got well over that. Great tasting fish and very generous offering.

Me and my grandma are frequent visitors at earls! We live out of town so it’s about an hour drive both ways but it’s so worth it. We’ve gone several times in the past year and always come for the catfish. The place is clean and the food is great. Great prices and the server is always kind. I often recommend the place when I hear someone talking about wanting catfish. Haven’t been in awhile due to covid but will be back as soon as possible!
