We stopped in after going to Cliffs of the Neuse. We were hungry and tired.
The lady taking our order was very nice and spoke English well so we had no problems! She answered our questions and made some suggestions on the tamales.
Two of us got 4 tacos each- each with a different kind of meat. Barbacoa, pork, chicken, and another beef type.
Another adult got a barbacoa quesadillas, and our last order was enchiladas with rice and beans.
Everyone really liked their food. The person eating the quesadillas said it would have been helpful to have it cut, it was basically a very large taco, she also said the meat was pretty greasy. She liked hers the least but said it was still “pretty good”.
The two orders of tacos with 4 different meats were outstanding!! Lots of cilantro and onions- adding some tomatillo sauce- perfection!!!
The diner having the enchiladas said they were good and the rice and beans were also good.
Food came out fairly quickly for such a large order.
Very pleasant experience- will definitely be back if we are in the area again!

Tacos were quick and delicious! We got a barbacoa and asada, barbacoa taco was EXCELLENT!! We also got a green salsa chicken tamal and it was also very tasty. The agua de jamaica was refreshing and the perfect amount of sweetness. The store is well stocked and has a lot of essentials as well as snacks. Can’t wait to come back on my next road trip!
