We proudly use Mary’s free-range chicken, which is GMO and hormone-free. Our chicken undergoes an 18-hour brine, followed by a buttermilk bath and a coating of Bob’s Red Mill Gluten-Free Organic Flour blended with our unique spices. This place is way underrated. I had some amazing food and the service was perfect. I also like the little, tavern almost, feel to the place. I got the popcorn chicken Nashville style and the ranch they serve it with is now our favorite ranch anywhere. They chicken sandwich is huge and I love the homemade pickles they serve with it. Coming from the south I haven’t found any good baked beans or collard greens I like, but this place absolutely delivered when it came to both of those. So much flavor and very unique. I will absolutely going back to try everything on the menu. The food is kind of expensive for what you get, but where else can you find this quality of food.

We enjoyed dinner here – we had the fried chicken sandwich, black bean burger, and the potato skins with slaw, the earl gray old fashioned and a neurons. Everything was very tasty, and the portions were generous. The fried chicken was moist and flavorful (I had the buttermilk not the spicy options). The goat cheese contrasted nicely with the spiciness of the black bean burger. The potato skins were tasty and would have been excellent with the addition of BBQ meat. Drinks were solid. The bread and butter pickles were perfect. The only reason atmosphere gets a 4 star vs 5 is that I expect/ prefer a dark quiet whisky bar and this one probably normally fits that bill,, but there were a few ladies at the bar who were extremely loud and the room does nothing to dampen that.

Delightful frys, food is exactly as described, and the potatoes skins are also amazing! We ordered out, with a bit of a wait, and had a lovely little dinner. They’ve also got board games and stuff! This is a very cool local restaurant to visit with a cozy vibe and yummy bites.

First time visit. Small place with a great location in Ashland. More relaxed than the spendy “after the theater” restaurants close by. Creative cocktail menu. I had the chicken & waffles special. My rye old fashioned was solid. Will definitely give it another go.

Relaxing, local pub feel, serving Southern comfort food with a pacific northwest twist! Great atmosphere, great food. We ordered several items off the menu because everything sounded so good. Started with a baby kale salad (big pieces of thick, crispy bacon, super fresh greens, crazy delicious beetroot pickled hardboiled eggs, radishes, blue cheese dressing). So bomb!! The buttermilk fried chicken was juicy, flavorful, and perfectly crispy on the outside. Chicken tortilla soup was excellent. Fried chicken thigh sandwich was perfectly cooked, slaw was crispy and simple, and the house-made pickles were DELICIOUS and a beautiful addition to the sandwich. (I could eat those pickles all day.) The brisket dip was packed full of flavor. The meat was smoky and crisp on the outside, tender on inside. Love the addition of pickled red onions. We also tried a few sides: mac and cheese, fries, and collard greens. YUM!!

Great gluten free options. Staff are very considerate about good allergies. The chicken is very crispy, maybe avoid the gluten free mac and cheese, gf pasta tends to lose texture if it isn’t brown rice pasta. Otherwise it’s a great time with great drinks and food!

What a bizarre experience we had here. The couple sitting next to us said exactly two words to eachother, faces in their phones the whole time.
Came for the Nashville Hot Popcorn Chicken. What we got was the Nashville Burnt Popcorn Leftovers (see picture). Couldn’t eat it, the waitress came by, looked at it and commented on how burnt it looked and went on her way. She came back to hand off our “happy-hour chicken tacos” which were composed of small unused chicken pieces and corners, bland as could be. I mentioned the Nashville Hot chicken again and she offered to re-order it for us. The second order was everything I hoped it would be, juicy, succulent, fresh (see pictures). The first order was just something leftover from earlier in the day and reheated. Really shameless.
In spite of all mentioned there is a good vibe going here. If they cook you a fresh order the chicken can be really great.
I would not recommend coming here, too much of a gamble. If you do come remember after they seat you and give you a menu, you have to get back up and order from the bar. Good luck.

When I asked my cheerful waitress what her fav item in the place is, she immediately suggested the Brisket Dip Sandwich (with a GF bun of course) it comes with a GF gravy for dipping. It was one of the best sandwiches I’ve ever had! We’ll be back next time in Ashland.

My Nashville hot popcorn chicken was absolutely delicious, highly recommend.
I also gad a quarter bird buttermilk style… probably the juiciest & most tender fried chicken I’ve ever had. If I were to change anything I’d ask for 4-6 pickle chips, 2 just isn’t enough.
