I ordered a basic dish – dal tadka at 8:45pm.
Upon ordering service was good and front desk lady is helpful, i asked lady if chef is okay to make my dish during restaurant closing hour, she checked with chef and he said okay, chef prepared my dish in hurry and made the curry very bad with huge amount of mustard seeds which no one can eat and it is basic dish even a 10 year old can make it tasty.
I called to restaurant and discussed the same with the chef regarding the dish, he said you could have brought the back i could have prepared freshly.. how can i bring back once the restaurant is closed at 9 pm?
If a chef is not interested to cook during closing hours he could have said simply No. i could have saved $24 and can have a better food right?

I am a tourist person here.. I may be a one time customer..
if food is prepared in good quality i may be the regular customer and can recommend few other fellow friends..

We enjoy Indian food a lot, and we have eaten at a lot of different Indian restaurants. This was not our worst experience, but definitely nowhere near the top. The best way to describe the food – it was mediocre. We ordered 3 dishes (Chicken Korma, Palak Paneer, and Daal Tadka) which are 3 pretty basic dishes that we enjoy a lot, and we tend to order them whenever we try a new Indian restaurant. Here, the Chicken Korma was the best of the 3, but it was still not very good. The palak paneer was okay, but lacked flavor. And the Daal Tadka, it was way over-cooked. The lentils had disappeared (cooked down so much that the dish became a lentil soup like split pea soup does). Everything just lacked flavor, compared to other Indian restaurants we frequent. Service was fine for what it is, which is a low-service model. You order food at the counter, and then they bring it out to your table. It’s all paper plates & plastic utensils. For the cost ($15-$18 per entree), it’s not a great value. Will find other dining options next time we are in OBX.

Highly recommend! I ordered the chilli shrimp, and my husband ordered the chicken korma. Both were flavorful and delicious. Also had raita and garlic naan, along with wonderfully authentic spiced milk tea (chai). Super friendly owner and staff, cute decor. Will absolutely come back next time we visit the area.

We had the samosa chat, aloogobi, and chicken tikka. Everything was delicious, super flavorful. We also had the naan and a side of raita and mango lassi. We were so pleasantly surprised with everything. The staff was super friendly and helpful. Everything is served in to go containers with paper plates and plastic utensils, so next time we will probably pick up and eat at home, but we will definitely go back!

The food was incredible, the customer service on point. The samosas are delicious, and my family says the chicken lettuce wraps are the best they’ve ever had. The homemade mango lassi is also amazing!

Ate dinner here tonight and really enjoyed it! We had samosas, chicken wraps, naan, and lamb rogan josh. You order at the counter and they bring your food in to go containers. They were very attentive, there’s ample tables, and simple decor. I had the mango lassi and it was the best I’ve ever had!

Horrible food and service. To start with the food- tasteless, just sweet ketchup and tomato sauce for the three food items we tried. All tasted the same. Chicken felt days old. Naan was obviously the frozen kind . Now about the service, it was hot inside and when we asked to semit below a fan they said it’s reserved. No one came but more importantly this was the exact same experience with a couple of other people ( see low rated reviews).this is just lazy staff. We were told that the water is salty so we have to buy it

Right on the main road, this was one of the very few Indian restaurants in OBX. The restaurant was empty and we were the only customers at lunch time.

We ordered a Mango Lassi soon after we got the table. The lassi was fine and super refreshing!!

As for food, we ordered 1 veg biriyani and 3 Chicken biriyani! Big MISTAKE !!
Should have tried one first before replicating the item. They asked us the spice level and we said spicy. Little did we know that we were in for an explosive stomach treatment.

⚠️This is probably to the restaurant chef, please revisit your ingredients and instructions for preparation of a biriyani. That’s not a biriyani what you served us. That was a disaster. One basic YouTube video will help you out immensely. Please mention what part of India did you have a biriyani like that, that you are serving people here in the same name?

We Indians eat spice. But please know that there is no biriyani prepared in any of the Indian states that add chilli flakes to the masala!! It’s not a FRIED RICE!!!! And when we say spicy, we mean the masala you COOK in the kitchen, the one you marinate the Chicken with to be spicy, that masala gets cooked in a sufficient quantity of oil first, and then goes the rice in it.
Never does an Indian food add chilli flakes or red chilli powder on top of the already cooked and prepared biriyani rice or chicken!! Please take a note of that!

We were taken aback by the reviews, 4.5!! Not worth it! Also, since one basic authentic stuff like biriyani was a disaster here, I wonder how the rest of the menu tastes.

Although it was very spacious from inside and on very accessible location and very friendly staff, its a total disappointment in the name of Indian food!
I would definitely go for a local restaurant in OBX and not look for an Indian one again!
