30 of us visited this establishment on a very busy Saturday night so apart from my group there were other customers however the service was still very good overall! Apart from one of the group finding a very long hair in his condiment sauces the meal was decent. Very hot (heat) however quite average in flavour. Prices are average.
Lastly one of the group wanted scampi and chips (don’t know why) it was a very sad looking meal more reminiscent to a kids meals i a pub…dried up small bits of scampi with a few stale looking chips!

Thank you so much for helping us celebrate Darcies 16th Birthday. The food was perfect as normal and Sonny and Ali were fantastic as usual

The staff at this restaurant are top notch. They’ll make all manner of adjustments to make your experience amore memorable. Porty’s crazy and definitely not your typical waiter.

Highly recommend no one attend if you have a Austic child or any kids.

They sat us down we ordered drinks then while waiting for our food we had popppdam and chutney tray my son was stimming and making loud noises as a non verbal austic child, one of the staff member came over to say ‘can we have our food as takeaway’ we had gone there to have food drove half our to go there to be told that they want us to take our food and take it with us because of my son. The boss had told him to tell us. Absolutely disgusting manner. Shouldn’t provide food service is they can’t cater to children/special needs.

Amazing food, ran by amazing people. The guy who served us was so warm and welcoming. I’m very picky with Indian cuisine, but the food was amazing and we got a really good deal. £12 for three courses, can’t go wrong. Would highly recommend.

Following my visit on Saturday night I was surprised that there are so many negative reviews of this place. Further investigation reveals that some of them look a bit suspect with one even posting a picture of a different Le Raj.
I haven’t been here for around 25 years, for no reason other than I don’t go into this part of Gornal very often and so it got overlooked. It would have been again but for Google.
I chose it because it was thankfully air conditioned, offered BYOB as well licensed, local and the parking is not too bad either.
We had a good time here, the staff are very friendly and the service attentive.
The atmosphere was good too, quite busy and very much a locals place but having survived so long given the size of Gornal is testament to them. There was one overly loud table but there usually is.
The mandatory (for us) poppadoms and chutney tray were nice, unusually featuring a tamarind dip, I guess mango chutney could be available if requested.
We went straight into the mains which we really enjoyed, I had a very flavoursome Syleti Bhuna and the wife had an equally tasty balti which she said was ‘gorgeous’. Both were very large portions but the chicken and chicken tikka in each was a fraction dry. The sides were very good, especially and unusually, so were the chips.
The prices are reasonable with the specials at around £10.50.
We won’t be leaving it too long until our next visit.

Part of the starter was frozen. We complained but nothing was done about it. It was busy (popular with families and kids at 7pm on a Saturday) but service very slow too. In there about 90 mins and only asked once if we wanted a drink. On the upside, our main courses were very tasty.

Would rate zero out of 5 if I could. Food wasn’t even that nice, ordered through Just Eat. Something went wrong with payments in the app, which was no one’s fault but the delivery driver never mentioned it when giving us our food. Later, had a rude, arrogant member of staff banging on the door at 11pm (5 hours after we ate our food), demanding payment and accusing us of not paying… and to make things worse, tried forcing his way into the porch, blocking the door with his foot and edging in. Man on the phone was vile as well. Shocked is an understatement. Service is disgraceful. Will never order from there again, hope they go out of business.

Visited Let Raj for the first time last week and we were really happy with our meals. We arrived at 6:30 on Friday greeted with a warm welcome and were seated immediately. Food is well priced and came out within a reasonable time and was exactly how we asked for it to be spiced. Could not find fault in our meal or service and would definitely return.
