RockHaus Coffee was our favorite coffee shop from our weekend getaway. The service was quick and the staff were welcoming.

The shop area in the back is full of unique items. They have cutting boards, specialty home decor, glassware, salts, and other thoughtful finds, which was fun to explore with our coffees. I ordered the miel (it has a longer name on the menu), and it was excellent (especially impressive coming from someone who is very picky about coffee). My husband, who is just as particular, had a half-sweet latte with one of their syrup flavors and enjoyed it as well.

The atmosphere and staff made the experience. If I lived in town, RockHaus Coffee would be a regular stop for me.

This coffee shop offers a charming and inviting atmosphere, supported by a flavorful coffee selection and a variety of beverage options. The quality of the coffee itself is commendable and reflects well on the shop’s standards.

However, the experience was impacted by a few shortcomings. Service was somewhat slow during the visit, and the restroom was out of service—an inconvenience that significantly affected the overall impression, particularly for guests who may need it. In addition, the pastry and food selection was quite limited, with few savory or sweet options available, which detracted from the value for guests looking to enjoy a more complete café experience.

With expanded menu offerings, improved service efficiency, and greater attention to facilities maintenance, this café has the potential to elevate its customer experience considerably.

I’m a Fredericksburg local, and love going to our various local coffee shops. This one has some interesting, non-standard drinks, which I appreciate. The quick bites are good for what they are as well. The service is good as well. However, I almost never visit because they don’t have WiFi. I make my own cold brew, but I enjoy going to coffee shops sometimes to do work on my computer and enjoy the ambience. Due to the lack of WiFi at this shop, I can’t do any work here, and so I typically don’t have much of a reason to visit. If they got WiFi, I would go much more often.

I marked service as 2 stars, not because the employees provide poor service, but because I consider WiFi as a part of the service offered by the coffee shop.

Rockhaus Coffee is more of a mercantile exchange than a coffee shop. While they do offer several types of coffee and styles or brew, and a few breakfast items, it’s not the expansive coffee shop one would expect on Main Street. The staff is friendly enough, but they have few choices to offer. The primary focus of the store is the rooms and rooms and rooms full of home accessories, old and new. The pics explain the scene. It’s very easy to get lost in the maze. It’s fun to walk through and see all the “stuff” but one would be better served at a different coffee shop if you’re serious about coffee and a breakfast snack.

I enjoyed a delicious cortado. The layout was beautiful, showcasing a range of fascinating items, from cups and glasses to bowls, vases, pots, centerpieces, and decor. While the prices are on the higher side, you’ll find unique pieces not often seen in larger home markets. Definitely worth a visit! We had a wonderful time exploring this coffee shop.

Came here in need of coffee, the parking is limited since it’s in the main street but with walking distance of close by parking lots. There was a good amount of people waiting for coffee and the place is very cramped, enough for 1 or 2 people to walk by. There is lots of home decor stuff and random books. The staff was very attentive and friendly and the coffee was good enough for the price paid. Overall nice views and decent coffee.

I visited for the coffee and discovered a furniture store.

The coffee and pastries are really good. If that’s what you’re looking for this is the place. The actual coffee shop is rather small and I imagine it can get very crowded during certain hours. There are a few chairs and tables in front but not many. Along the side of the building are more chairs and tables if you don’t mind tight spaces.

The staff is nice enough but not particularly friendly. Service is fast.

The furniture store was a curiosity to me. Still, it’s definitely got a furniture style that some folks really like. Check out the photos because…I really just came for the coffee.

RockHaus coffee was a pleasant surprise on the day after Christmas. Other bakeries and such were closed for the holidays, so RockHaus was our afternoon coffee spot. Vines were chill with some cool loud music playing. Coffee, drinks and pastries were good, nothing unusual good or bad, just good enough; although bit on the steep side cost wise. Also found a kitchen goods/furniture store here too, not really expecting that. Cool place to stop and get coffee, recommended.

My first morning in Fredericksburg I wanted to find a coffee shop so I walked from my AirBnB and am so happy I found this one!!! It is my favorite shop on Main St. For the price, the coffee was ok, the pastry was delicious and the barista was super friendly. The vibe inside the shop was amazing! The music, the offerings and displays – that is what you are paying for. A bit boho, a bit modern and all sprinkled with French inspiration. I wanted to buy everything…but can’t because it is priced accordingly for the quality of the items and it being a tourist boutique. I have been visiting daily to figure out what I AM going to buy because there’s just too many unique items to pass up.

Because there are so many beautiful and fragile things displayed in the shop (see photos) with some areas that are a tighter to walk through, I would suggest families with children who have not been trained to practice self-restraint, stay in the outside seating areas while adults take turns to peruse the shop. I would agree that the shop is not catered to strollers or children that are not able to behave – but honestly, as mamma – I would have a hard time enjoying taking everything in if I was stressing about my child breaking something, even if they did keep their hands to themselves.

As I said before, this is my favorite shop and every day I have visited I find new things I skimmed over on a previous visit. LOVE it and if you’re ever in Fredericksburg, you should check it out…even if you don’t grab a coffee.

Back again:
Got a capp and it was delicious! The cheese Danish was also a delight. Different barista but very friendly as well. Still 5 stars!

The friendly bald man behind the counter was very kind while I waited for the barista to make my latte! My latte was also amazing! If you’re pregnant and looking for a good decaf coffee, the decaf iced vanilla latte was very tasty! I’ll be sure to be back next time I am in town!
