What an amazing shop. I stopped in to grab a sandwich after arriving in town on Amtrak. The staff were very friendly when I walked in. The prices on the menu caught me by surprise but I was hungry. I ordered a small Italian sub and gave them my first name for the order. It was $19 for a soda and a small grinder. When they called my name, I learned that the small sub was huge. I didn’t bring a ruler or anything but if I had to guess it was 10″ long and 4″ wide. The bread was fresh and was absolutely loaded with meat. As it turned out, $19 was a great value for the amount of food and the quality. I sat at a table by the corner and the amazing people that work there called me by name to check on me and see if I needed anything.
I didn’t eat dinner that night because I was still full from lunch. If I ever find my way back to Mystic, another sandwich from this shop is on my list.

Takeout lunch place but they have a few tables if you want to sit and eat. Two homemade soups everyday. The grinders are huge! They also offer take home pastas and sauses. The staff and owners are lovely. This is my go to lunch spot!

Lovely little place. Very clean. Staff are helpful and polite. Most important: food is incredible. Marinara sauce is perfectly seasoned. Eggplant parm was some of the best I’ve had. House made pastas are really good. Subs are ginormous. Everything is so fresh. Highly recommend!

Ordered a pulled pork grinder. Great balance of pork ham cheese pickles and bread. One of the best grinders I’ve had. Almost forgot. The Rhode island soup was excellent too.

Wow, what a find. Grinders are so tasty and absolutely huge, I had a Turkey, which was very good indeed. Lovely staff, very clean and organised A+++++ We will be back tomorrow and the next day!!

I’ve raved to my family and friends about Pasta Fresca’s grinders for several years. They are the best. They offer a great selection of grinders, each with fresh rolls and the perfect amount of meats and veg. Their large portion sizes wil satisfy any healthy appetite!
Today, I’d also like to praise Tia’s selection of soups. I’ve had several flavors, their standards and chef’s specials and they are all excellent. Today I tried their Shepherd’s Pie soup because it really sounded interesting. It was delicious. I also love their RI clam chowder and their corn chowder.
They are very popular around lunchtime, so I recommend you order ahead by phone.

From the Philly burbs and proud of our tasty hoagies. The Italian Trio “grinder” that I had today at Pasta Fresca was far better than anything I’ve ever had. Anywhere. The only way to improve it would be to make it on a Philly hoagie roll!

Delicious grinder shop in Mystic…
They have different daily grinder specials Monday – Saturday…Meatballs grinders on Fridays is OMG… outrageous and large grinder is Huge and so filling Delicious homemade Italian meatballs and homemade Italian tomato sauce….:) also,Saturday is homemade eggplant grinders…yummy…different homemade soups daily, friendly staff and delicious salads aswell!! You can’t go wrong here…the best grinder shop and grinder bread in the Connecticut region!! Also,I must say all grinders are over stuffed…no skipping at this place…high quality foods! Highly recommend

My husband and I stopped here for the first time today and we were very satisfied with the food and service. while we waited for our meatball grinders we were offered a sample of their pea soup and it was the best we’ve ever had! that’s saying something because I’ve always thought my mom’s was the best. we ate our grinders until we were about to burst and they wrapped our leftovers for us. the best part about that is when we went back to eat them, our grinders were labeled “his :)” and “hers :)”. we will definitely be eating here again!

Just got back in town for the summer and stopped by one of our favorite places for soup. First time trying the Supreme Pizza Soup. This is my new favorite!! Tia, all of your soups I’ve had, are flavorful and delicious but this one is on another level! Thick with lots of meat and goodies you would expect on a pizza. You were right!
