The food was good but the service was awful. The person in charge refused to honor the deal listed on his menu board. It listed 1/2 chicken on the B.Y.O. selections. But I was told I only get 1/4 chicken on the large. I informed them they must honor their listed prices. He did one time but refused to honor it anymore without changing the menu board. The law requires you must sell things at their advertised price. The person in charge said he didn’t care. Business principles are definitely not a concern to them. The last time I went I was greeted by the girl taking my order with a “what you want.” I not driving 12 miles to support his business since he doesn’t care. My little money won’t be missed by him but I tell everyone about his awful service and that you have to stand outdoors even in the rain. “The food was good but the service and attitude sucks.” Look at the pictures it clearly says 1/2 chicken in blue writing for all sizes.

It took me about 30 mins to get here from where I lived. I want to first say that this place has the best Barbecue Sauce I have ever had in the City of Mobile so far and I have been to some spots. The potato salad is so good I could eat a bowl of it. It’s rare to find some good potato salad and my God it’s amazing! Now the baked beans were good but I just like to see bell peppers, chopped onions etc in my beans. Now the ribs I tried first with no sauce just to see how the flavor was alone and they were more of a 4.3. I think the sauce added takes it up to a 5. I also had the Mac and cheese, the flavor was good so no complaints.

This was our first time visiting this bbq spot in Mobile. The food was not really good. We tried the brisket, soul rolls, Mac n cheese, smoke oxtails and wings, collards, and we suppose to have yams. But they did not get the order correct. All this food was $76. The meats were smoked but lacked any additional flavor. The collards were okay. Soul rolls were bland. Mac n cheese was okay. This food definitely was not worth $76.00.

Par for the course with a new restaurants Food and service starts out in phenomenal fashion to get your business. Once you become a regular customer the customer service goes out the door. Why have a phone for call-ins if you never answer? Put your customers on hold for 8-10 minutes with no return to take their order. Potential office lunch order of $200.00 lost.

The food was great! If I had to pick a favorite food, I would go with the ribs, brisket, and smoked chicken salad. The sides (collards, baked beans) were good also. No lie, the brisket was so good that it literally melted in my mouth. The smokey taste from the chicken salad yummy , the best I’ve ever had. The only negative thing for me was the location–from where I live, it took almost 30 minutes to get there, but I’m willing to travel the route again.

This place is small but good. I got the rib plate. It came out in a very timely fashion. The ribs are tender, but the potatoe salad is awesome. Had to go back for another order of it. I would really recommend this place to everyone that’s looking for great customer service with a friendly smile. I will most definitely be back

Tried Coach Brown’s for the first time today. I must admit this is the best brisket I have ever tasted. It was so tender and the flavor was perfect. This will not be my last trip to Coach Brown’s. This is a takeout or eat outside establishment so depending on the weather you may want to plan on taking your food home to eat.

I had heard about Coach Brown’s BBQ by word of mouth. Actually someone had told me about because they heard someone talk about it. I decided to try it out for myself.
Before I drove to the location I looked at the menu online. I already had an idea of what I wanted. When I got there were some people were outside waiting for their food. The building is set up sort of like a concession stand. I went up to the stand and looked at the menu. I ordered the smoked wings medium plate. It comes with 2 sides. I chose the mac and cheese and the loaded baked beans. I paid for my meal and they gave me a little pager that would let me know when my food was ready. It really didn’t take long at all for my food to get ready.
When I got home I was ready to eat. The food smelled delicious. I tried the baked beans first. They had what seemed to be ground beef in them. It was pretty good. The mac and cheese was next. You could tell it was baked. My serving had a little crust from the top and it was tasty. The smoked wings were excellent. The smokiness was just right. I don’t remember how many pieces I had but there was an assorted of flats and drums. I asked for the sauce on the wings. The sauce was really good. The plate came with a piece of white bread. There was sauce left so I got a couple of pieces of bread I had at home and scooped the remaining sauce up. The meal was excellent.
