I recall going in there frequently with my brother and family. I had not dined in Lalos in probably 15 years.
I ordered a chicken enchilada and rice and beans. The food would have been fantastic had it been served hot, it was not. My friends had the same complaint , food not being hot.
It was not particularly crowded either.
I also got the mixed ceviche tostada- fisn and shrimp ($12)
It was a large portion.
All the food was perfect and so good!!
It’s family owned, support local.
The staff and owner were all very kind, attentive and the chef is very talented.
They have a full bar for beer and cocktails.
Good atmosphere to grab a drink and some food.
Highly recommend!!!
The restaurant is located in a shopping center and for a Saturday I was surprised by how easy it was to find parking (literally in front of the restaurant).
Upon entering it was quiet/empty, the servers greeted us kindly, and we were quickly seated.
We were sat in a booth near a window which was nice considering it was a nice day out and highlighted their outdoor seating area.
The chips and salsa were brought promptly to the table.
The chips didn’t have much taste to them but the salsa was pretty good.
The food arrived in a timely fashion (I ordered a combination plate with a cheese enchilada, shredded beef taco, and rice and beans).
The beans were a bit salty but edible, the cheese enchilada was fine, but the rice was a bit bland.
Overall, it was an okay experience as the host, hostesses were very friendly and attentive but I probably wouldn’t go back for the food. It was filling for the moment but not memorable for me unfortunately .
Drinks were terrific as usual, beer cold, margarita made just right.
Hope to give five stars next time!

Ok, updated review!
Went recently, and Lalo’s was awesome
They have redone the bar, and even the food tasted better this time. So glad to see it back to being an excellent neighborhood restaurant… stop in and try it!
I had shrimp enchiladas… mom had Camarones al Lalo’s… chips and salsa of course… just a wonderful meal.
Standard menu for Mexican cuisine.
Offers Al fresco dining.
Clean and well kept.
Portion size and price are appropriate
Tricky to locate but can be found in the middle of the strip mall.
Parking is abundant
Great for date night, a quick bite for one, or meeting with friends
Food was good and tasty
Quick service.
I have the fish tacos and they were yummy
The chips and slasa were ok. The service was ok. I felt our waitress was a little annoyed when I asked if she could take my plate away.
I had the chicken taquitos combo plate, one potato taco & was looking forward to eating. The potato taco was good. The chicken taquitos were not at all what I expected. The chicken was so hard, I couldn’t even bite through it. I thought maybe it was only that way with one of them but it was all three taquitos that were not edible.
Overall, it was just ok and probably will not go back.
