Local dive bar with OUTSTANDING food. I got chicken wings and a chicken wrap. The wings were incredibly juicy AND crispy!
The blue cheese dressing is homemade and I would drown in it. French fries, pickle chips, tater tots are all HOMEMADE and deliciously seasoned and perfectly fried.
The owner is super friendly and everything coming out of the kitchen is made with the love only a chef that loves his food can give. Don’t skip this place for a bite. Karaoke every Tuesday!

As a server/bartender of 15 yrs. I appreciate this place and the service I received. Very much a good ‘ol tavern vibe. Bartender was fast and attentive. The young lady in the small kitchen doing it all on a busy Wednesday night. Cooking, food running and washing dishes! Hats off to her. While there we also meet the owner(amazing guy)and his new puppy Maverick. We didn’t get his name, but we will definitely be back. Thanks again for the sample of that fine bourbon!!

Called for some wings tonight as i haven’t been here in a long time. I got dirt style great mistake and the hot and sweet wings. They are very friendly and accomodating. The bartender was great and so was the cook. I forgot how good their wings are. Good quality and not oversized massive wings like a lot of places. Their bleu cheese and ranch is phenomenal as well as their sauces. I will certainly be back soon! Thanks for the great service and delicious wings! Skip J Tim’s and come here.

Ordered to go and 2 of the 3 items were awful. The Pastrami Egg rolls were fried to a crisp. I thought; I’ll give em a pass, maybe they were busy. My wife’s burger came out OK and I thought; maybe this would be so bad after all. Then I took a bite out of my Pattie Melt. Can someone please explain to me how you manage to burn raw food? What’s crazy is the sandwich was cut and half meaning the patty was also cut and half, yet the edges were brown and burnt. This means the cook saw this burger was raw,pressed the edge back to the grill to get it nice and burnt, and knowingly served it to me raw!

Stopped at the Blue Plate Tavern the other night. What a Great Place! Very, very clean! Courteous and friendly staff. Creative, tasty, reasonable tavern-fare, with numerous daily specials, and killer seasoned French fries. Drinks are reasonable, ample and fairly priced, while beer is always ice cold. They also cover all the bases with things to do: karaoke, darts, pool table. etc. The Blue Plate is Plainville’s version of “Cheers”, where everyone knows your name. I love this place, it’s what a Tavern should be! Drop by, I’m sure you’ll like it!
