Sabtino is always busy and crowded, and for good reason. The food was excellent. We ordered the house special, gnocchi, pizza, and an eggplant rollatini that the chef kindly customized for me into fettuccine Alfredo, which was absolutely delicious.
Even with how packed it was, everything came out hot and full of flavor. Amanda behind the bar was on point all night and even customized a tiramisu martini. I was lucky enough to be the first one to try it, and it was amazing. Phil, the owner, is very down to earth and welcoming, which really adds to the experience. Great food, great people, and a great atmosphere. We’ll definitely be back.

The service was great and the food was phenomenal! I had the pasta primavera, and my brother ordered the carbonara and a calabresa pizza — everything was delicious.
The only downside was the scent inside; during our lunch visit, there was a noticeable sewage smell mixed with air freshener. Despite that, we’d definitely come back — maybe next time we’ll try a meal on the patio.

We went to dinner here last night and it was spectacular!
There were 4 of us.
Started with some really good wine!
They served fresh bread and sun-dried
tomato olive oil to dip it in! ( Free by the way)
We ordered mussels and clams in a wine sauce that was delicious!
We also ordered the sautéed mozzarella dish and that was excellent!
Portion size is great.
Our entrees were all excellent as well and again great portion size
I had the special pasta dish , amazing!
My husband would not stop raving about his veal!
Our friends ordered the bronzini which is served with rice and asparagus!
Our other friend had the lasagna with the pasta made from scratch!
This is not our first time here but we keep coming back and bringing all our friends!
Service is excellent, no need to look for your server as they are spot on!
I can’t wait to bring more friends back here!
Finally a cozy place, close to home with fantastic food!!

If I could give a 1000/10, that’s how I would rate this hidden Italian gem tucked away in Apex. Cozy, intimate, with beautiful ambience indoor and the outdoor patio. Perfect for a date night, or casual lunch to catch up with friends and family. Jon and Amanda were fabulous, warm, kind and knowledgable of the menu & wines. You know this an authentic Italian restaurant when everyone eating there is Italian, including the chef and the team. As for the food, 10/10. As a vegetarian, there were plenty of options to choose from, and everything is made from scratch or high tier ingredients from Italy are used. The food was a solid 10/10, flavorful, generous portions, tasted fresh & steaming hot when it came out to our table. The dessert was beautifully presented and flavorful! The limoncello was one of the smoothest limoncellos I had in the area as well. I strongly recommend checking out Sabatino’s and look forward to the future of this hidden gem. I will be back soon and bring more company !

My wife and I went to Sabatinis for a valentine’s day lunch, it was our first time.
The menu was limited a they were prepping for Valentine Day Dinners but there was plenty to be excited about.
We started with a calamari appetizer which is our go to app of is in the menu. We shared the calamari and agreed it was the best we had since a dinner several years earlier in a high end restaurant inn Arthur Avenue in the Bronx.
My wife had a cavatelli entree with a light tomato sauce that was built on grilled eggplant. My wife loved it and thought the pasta was exceptional. When she asked the waiter told her they make the pasta fresh.
I had a risotto with braised short rib that was incredible. The risotto was creamy, the beef amazingly tender and fat free. The sauce was clearly the result of a long cooking process and it was devine.
The price of the meal was very reasonable for the meal we enjoyed.
The service was good and we found out they also make fresh gnocchi, can’t wait for our next dinner at Sabatinis.

Sabatino’s is your neighborhood Italian restaurant but with a bit more sophisticated menu. You can clearly see that the staff enjoys working there and you feel appreciated as a guest. The complimentary bread was good, not great. Both the Caesar and the Gorgonzola & Pera salads were excellent and large enough to split in two. Very fresh with homemade Caesar dressing. The entrees were all huge and delicious. The table enjoyed the Rigatoni Vodka (one of the best in the area), Eggplant Parmigiana, Risotto Con Costolette Di Manzoi (the short ribs were tender, tasty and the demi-glaze was outstanding), and lastly the pesto pasta special which they gladly swapped shrimp for chicken. The dessert choices sounded good but no one had room for anything more.

First time visit to Sabatinos ! Was a recommendation by a patron at the theater. The service was so attentive and helpful. I got the chicken marsala- Beautiful presentation, lots of fresh mushrooms, and great flavor- maybe the best I ever had! My friend had the chicken francais, she said it too was amazing. Small place, but cute inside, cloth napkins- maybe add cloth table cloths? -( but I guess prices wouldn’t be as reasonable-!! )Will definitely return to try all the other dishes on the menu!

My husband and I had a great meal tonight! Service was great and the food was delicious. I had the Rigatoni vodka, and my husband had the carbonera. For dessert we had the lava cake which was a special for tonight. We wish that was a permanent dessert on the menu! We really liked that there was a lot of sauce with both our pastas so it was not dry at all. We can’t wait to come back and try more of the menu.

We had a table of 5 two Fridays ago and everyone loved everything that they ordered. Highlights were the pizza, calamari, and chicken parmigiana. All the sauces are house-made fresh from scratch. And of course our server Michele was phenomenal. Will definitely be back!
