Sarah has been making donuts the old fashion way for over 15 years and Bill owns Lil Dino Subs. The Pinehurst location serves all of Moore County with fresh donuts from 6am – 3pm everyday. It was very quiet on a Monday morning. It’s a cute little shop with a variety of super affordable, delicious donuts. And the owner was so very sweet! They also had hot coffee, your choice between dark, medium, and light roast.

Best doughnuts in Pinehurst! They are so tasty, huge, lots of flavors to choose from, and well worth the price. Make sure to get an apple fritter. They have a few sizes of fritters, with the large one easily feeding 5-6 people.

It’s a carry out and we were looking for a place to sit, enjoy coffee and eat. There is one small table but that was occupied by what appeared to be the owner and an aquaintence at the time. So in all fairness we went somewhere else.

Southern Angel Donuts: Located in the heart of Pinehurst, NC, Southern Angel Donuts serves all of Moore County using old world recipes and hand formed techniques. The shop offers a plethora of interesting flavors, but seeing as I had a lot of food to try while visiting the area, I kept it to one. Peanut butter is a relatively unique flavor and one of my favorites from other doughnut shops that I’ve visited. I thought the texture of this yeast doughnut was exemplary as it was airy with a nice amount of chewiness. The dough itself had a nice buttery flavor, but I know what you all care about is that peanut butter frosting. That’s where things begin to go a bit south as the peanut butter frosting was good, but just too mild of a flavor.
A suggestion I have based on some of the best doughnut shops in the country that I’ve encountered would be filling the doughnut with a peanut butter frosting. That would definitely take this doughnut to the next level. It was still a nice dessert to have with my breakfast and for the price wasn’t bad. Comparing it to some of the other peanut butter doughnuts I’ve consumed though, this one is just okay.

These are as close to VooDoo donuts as you’re gonna get. 100% was worth every penny. 20$ for a mix & match dozen. Definitely the best donuts i’ve had around this area. Coconut topped donuts are killer.

I pre-ordered 15 different types of donuts for a Mother’s Day function. Long story short, after taking them out and splitting them in multiple “sample” sizes, I did not receive all the specialty donuts I had ordered. I noticed instead they were replaced with duplicates of other donuts I ordered, and I was shorted one. Regardless they were delicious and service was good, but a heads up that my order was going to be changed, would have been appreciated!
