Social Profile:

When you go out of your way to create the world’s tastiest sandwiches, people tend to go out of their way to get their hands on them. And it’s been like this since we opened the doors of the first TOGO’S in San Jose, California back in 1971. We made the meatiest, most delectable sandwiches around. And people formed lines out the door, anxiously awaiting their turn for taste bud nirvana. Today, people still go above and beyond to get our sandwiches. Because for many, you can never go too far for a TOGO.

Counter-service chain offering made-to-order hot & cold sandwiches in straightforward surroundings.

Ordered a Reuben #10 asked and paid for double everything. No thousand island dressing, no sauerkraut, didn’t melt the double Swiss cheese. I wanted added jalapenos pickles and lettuce and tomatoes. Instead of 1000 island dressing they put mayo and mustard. The hot pastrami looks like the normal size not doubled. But the basic sandwich is not there without melting the Swiss cheese, the thousand island dressing and the sauerkraut and not giving us what we paid to have doubled. The whole Reuben portion of the sandwich. This is the first time Togo’s has ever disappointed me. I had to crack open my own jar of sauerkraut

For 20.00 a sandwich I would love more meat than this especially with sourdough involved.

The bread was fresh and crusty, the pastrami was thick and juicy, and the mustard was just the right amount of tangy. The service was also excellent, and the staff was friendly and attentive.

I would definitely recommend this deli to anyone who loves a good pastrami sandwich. The food is delicious, the service is great, and the prices are reasonable.

Overall, I was very impressed with the pastrami sandwich at this deli. It was one of the best I’ve ever had, and I would definitely recommend it to anyone who loves a good pastrami sandwich.

Update: of course I was dumb enough to go to this togos near my house out of convenience. There was a trainee making my sandwich we all have to learn but the sandwhich was so non presentable, it was falling apart, tons of mayo and tons of lettuce. My question is where was the shift lead and or person training her? I saw nobody but here there. My phone order that was supposed to be ready in “ten minutes” took about 30 and mind you there are no other customers because it’s storming outside. I can’t believe I paid that much for that and tipped. So disappointed I had to come back and change my 2 star review to 1 star, if that.

1st review: Although I live right next to this Togo’s every time I go to this Togo’s it’s something. I prefer going to the one on railroad.

Very good sandwiches. I like their hot subs the best. Great pastrami and Philly cheese steak. The staff is really good at offering options and bread that go with your sandwich

My favorite sandwich shop of all the sandwich food chains. The help is great and this spot is just a little Above the Rest for a quick made deli style sandwich. I always get the turkey cranberry sandwich and I add mayo, spicy mustard and bacon with cheese to it. Lately I’ve been stuck on the chicken salad sandwich if you’re into the soft rolls like I am the best one is the white bread.

Their albacore tuna sandwiches are way better than Subway in my opinion. And the ingredients as a whole are fresher it seems. If you’re tired of Subway then give Togo’s a try, I think you’ll have to make them your go to place for those frequent sandwich cravings. At the very least they’ll be a welcome break from the stale sandwiches at subpar Subway. And you can be sure the tuna is real. Now I’m not saying don’t ever go back to Subway. But, make Togo’s your go to on the regular.

Hands down, you’ll be more satisfied! I highly recommend!!! Especially for the frequent Subway goer who’s tired of the same stale food and still questions whether that hoax around whether their tuna was real tuna was true. At Togo’s, it’s not even a thought.

Togo’s provides such an abundance of choice, if you can’t leave happy, there’s something wrong with your choosing mechanism!

Togo’s is my favorite sandwich chain by far. Their bread is fresh, the meats are freshly sliced in-house, and the resulting sandwiches are just big and tasty. In particular, you get plenty of meat, something that isn’t the case with many other chain sandwich shops.

The decor is modern but fairly plain, but they do have a TV or two. Service can be a little slow sometimes if they’re busy and there aren’t enough sandwich makers, but I think the food is worth it.

It’s the closest thing you’re going to find to a mom & pop deli in a sandwich chain in the Bay Area, and heck, many of those aren’t as good as Togo’s.
