My wife and I vacationed in Maine August of 2013. This place by far was the best place we have eaten on our vacation. Perfect lobsters, huge steamed clam appetizers and the homemade rhubarb pie was to die for! While dining, the view of the ocean was amazing and watching the boats pull up to the dock with their lobster traps dropping off fresh lobster to waterman’s was just cool. To top it all off we looked up and saw two bald eagles flying overhead along the shore line. To walk off the meal we hiked along the beach trying to find that bald eagles nest. We never did find it but we had a blast hiking that beautiful shore line! Without a doubt that meal at waterman’s was our most fondest memory of our trip to Maine. Looking forward to going back. The staff were so friendly and welcoming.

I invited my brother and our wives to eat at Waterman’s and they loved it. My wife and I have eaten there for several years and the staff is very friendly, helpful and all of the food is excellent. I especially recommend the lobster rolls and the pies. Since we are visiting from Virginia we will be sorry this will be the last time we get a chance to eat at this great restaurant.

The lobster meat in the lobster roll was great. Everything else could have come from a school bagged lunch. Better quality bread and some fresh lettuce (there was no lettuce) would have helped. Flavored kettle cooked chips would have been appreciated. It was not a cheap meal, it shouldn’t seem like one.
