Did Thai Curry Just Become My New Takeout Thai Go-To in … – Racket

There’s a Thai Curry House in Burnsville, but Thai Curry is unrelated; it comes instead from the family behind Mela Thai Cuisine in West St.

I had a great experience! My partner and I were in the mood for Thai. We found this place and are so glad that we did. Although the place is tiny, it can only seat 4-5 parties of 2-3 people, it has a cozy feel. We ordered the Pad Thai and the Basil Fried Rice, spice level 2. The spice option is 1-5. If you come here, I would recommend going down one spice level, then what you think you can handle, as level 2 can be pretty hot for some. The hottest I would comfortably go is 2. If you love spice, I would recommend a 3. You have to be very familiar with the different levels of spice to do a four and wish death upon yourself for 5. The food arrived very quickly, and it was absolutely delicious! My partner also ordered the Thai Tea, which he loved and actually helped with the spice level. I would absolutely return. I would probably try a 1.5, since the 2 was a little uncomfortable but tolerable. Since there are many restaurants on this strip, parking can be difficult, especially at peak times. It’s totally worth it, the staff was absolutely phenomenal and the food was outstanding.

The food & service is great! It’s primarily set up as a takeout counter, not to dine in. Their medium level spice was too intense. They kindly replaced mine. It’d be helpful to have some more information on their spice levels. My son had ordered the medium & his order came with no spice but at least it was edible.

The review is kind of mixed. Great flavor with tempered expectations from a small take out oriented place.

On on hand they have very good flavor. Its definitely not 5 star of many reviews so I gave it a 4.

Reson why? The proteins are of the standard Takeout kind. Thin quick fry meats. Not inherently bad. But for people claiming best Thai in town. Id have expected not frozen bag variety of Chicken.

Knowing this and value wise, yes larger portion than your more traditional sit down. The quality is a bit lacking. However the sauces mask that and shine. $17 takeout for standard chicken green curry.

Very cozy. Good food. I got a 5 spicy level for my basil fried rice and I sort of regret it. This speaks to their authenticity of flavors.

I shall be back

I highly recommend Thai Curry Restaurant!!
This is a small, clean take out place. It makes up for its lack of seating by choosing to use premium authentic ingredients that deliver the best Thai flavors. Also, their prices and portion sizes offer good value. If you and discern between great tasting Thai flavor versus average flavor then you will appreciate this restaurant. Staff are friendly and my food has always been ready on time. I have never had to stand around waiting.

My family frequently orders these dishes:
– Tom yum soup with extra shrimp and pineapple – medium spice.
– Pineapple fried rice with chicken – mild spice.
– Red curry with chicken – mild spice.

*Quick tip: Use the salvation army parking lot that’s a few stores down because street parking can be tough.

Green Curry with squid had such depth of flavor with a diversity of vegetables! My daughter had Tofu Pad Thai. Ingredients fresh and plentiful. This is 99% take out but it does have a couple of tables.

Ordered the Peanut Curry with Beef, and it was perfection! The hot level spice was definitely a kick in the mouth, but not overwhelming.
I will definitely be adding this to the takeout rotation!

I cannot believe I have not tried this place before. I was looking for Thai near me and this place came up. The reviews really sold it. I was worried maybe it was overrated….but I was so happy to be proven wrong. My husband and I got a few dishes and loved them all. The Tom Kha soup, basil fried rice and the panang curry were our favorites. We also had the green curry and beef and broccoli, which were only slightly less amazing. The mango sticky rice was also impressive…especially since the mango was good in Minnesota December!

I highly recommend this place. I’ve been looking for my Thai place in MN and I finally found it.

We dined in although we were the only ones not getting take out. The food is fantastic and the medium spice level was perfect for us and we like spicy food, probably more spicy than you might expect medium to be. I’ve had quite a bit of Thai food and have been to Thailand, this is easily one of the top two places in the twin cities area that I’ve tried. We’ll be back!

Fantastic take-out! Quick, accurate, delicious, good value. I’ve never had anything I didn’t like – You can’t go wrong! My faves are the Pad Bai Kara Pao, and Sticky rice with mango for dessert. They are serious with the levels of spicy.
