Visited Asoke and tried a few breakfast items. The idly was really good soft and fresh, and it tasted great with the chutney and sambar. The dosa was average, decent but nothing very special. The ven pongal was not really to my liking, it could have been better in flavor and texture. Overall, idly was the highlight of the meal.

Very disappointing experience. I ordered Paneer Masala (vegetarian) but the dish had chicken pieces mixed in it. This is completely unacceptable and very disturbing. People trust restaurants to respect vegetarian orders, and mistakes like this are not minor.

Absolutely unacceptable behavior at Sarigama Indian Cafe.

I ordered a tea and simply asked for an extra lid to properly cover it. Instead of a professional response, the staff member bluntly refused in a rude and dismissive manner right in front of me. No explanation. No courtesy. Just attitude.

If there’s a charge for an extra lid, say it clearly and respectfully. That’s basic customer service. But refusing with arrogance over something so minor reflects a serious problem in how customers are treated.

As a paying customer, I was not asking for charity or anyone’s personal property. I was making a simple, reasonable request. The lack of professionalism and basic respect is shocking.

Management needs to seriously train their staff on how to speak to customers. Businesses don’t survive on products alone — they survive on service. If this is the standard of behavior, don’t expect customers to return.

If your prefer cheap and unsanitary food, this is the perfect place to eat at. I used to frequent here because it was cheap and quick but never again.

Despite complaining to the cashiers or the owner, the conditions don’t improve. They just dismiss your concerns and many people have complained several times.

Look at the rat in the video in the grocery section, do you really want to eat here and bring your kids here? Even showing this to the owner didn’t change anything, the restaurant just continues to be nonchalant about it.

0/10 would not recommend

I visited Sarigama Indian Cafe recently and unfortunately had a very disappointing experience. The idli and sambar served to us did not taste fresh at all, and the sambar seemed spoiled. When we politely informed the staff, instead of addressing the concern, we were told that it was fine and nothing could be done.

We were among the first customers after opening, so freshness should not have been an issue. Good food is important, but good hospitality matters (which cant be expected may be from students working there) just as much, and that was completely missing.

As customers, we just expect to be heard and treated respectfully. Hoping the management takes feedback seriously and improves quality and customer service. What goes around comes around – karma always balances things.

I am a regular customer of Sarigama and have ordered from them many times without any issues, which is why today’s experience was extremely disappointing.
I ordered flavored rice through Uber Eats but received sambar rice, which is a completely different item. I also ordered roti pachadi, and instead of offering a replacement or correcting the mistake, the item was simply canceled.
When I contacted the restaurant to resolve this, the first front desk staff member was extremely rude and unprofessional. She spoke disrespectfully, interrupted the conversation, and disconnected the call abruptly. When I called back, my calls were ignored. When I asked for her name, I was given irrelevant explanations and was made to feel as though I was at fault, even though the mistake was clearly from the restaurant.
There was no empathy, accountability, or basic customer courtesy, and the same response was repeated without any effort to understand how upsetting the situation was for a loyal customer.
Eventually, I spoke with another staff member who was polite, well-mannered, and apologetic, which I do appreciate. However, the overall handling of the issue and the initial behavior I experienced were unacceptable.
Mistakes can happen, but customer service and respect matter. This experience has seriously affected my trust as a long-time customer, and I hope the management addresses staff behavior and order accuracy moving forward.

I ordered veg pulao today and found a piece of plastic paper in it. This is completely unacceptable and raises serious concerns about food safety and hygiene. Definitely not ordering again until quality improves.

Extremely disappointing experience. I ordered a biryani and curry combo to go and politely asked for extra onions. Instead of accommodating a simple request, I was given one single slice of onion in a tiny box, which felt insulting. When I asked for at least 3 slices, I was bluntly told they do not provide extra onions you should be grateful that i have considered to give 1 slice is what the girl working there spoke to me which is so rude.

I had ordered MULTIPLE ITEMS, yet the staff showed zero customer courtesy. The service was rude, dismissive, and completely unprofessional. I would rate the service 0/10. The two girls working near the register counter during the January 9th 2026 at 10:05 PM shift were especially rude. Based on this experience, I would not recommend this place unless they hire staff who respects their customers.

Sarigama Indian Cafe is a place I genuinely like, especially for their tiffins. The taste is really good, and their idli is one of my favorites. If you’re trying idli, I highly recommend the ghee karam idli—it’s super tasty and flavorful.

The place can get quite crowded and noisy, so it may not be ideal if you’re looking for a calm family dining experience. You can eat there as a family, but be prepared for the rush. I’ve mostly tried their tiffins and enjoyed them a lot. I did try some of their curries as well, but they weren’t as impressive to me.

Overall, it’s a great spot if you’re craving good South Indian tiffins and don’t mind a busy atmosphere.

This place is famous for Nepali & Indian people. People love to come for morning & evening tea & coffee. Everything is fine here. It will be more better if they give attention for cleanliness & people crowd.
