As regular Olive Garden customers, we visit Olive Garden’s at several locations whenever we travel. I have visited several Olive Gardens in San Antonio, Victoria, Laredo and other places throughout TX as well as Louisiana, New Mexico, Biloxi, Nevada.
On Sunday Dec 28th we visited the Olive Garden in Portland TX. I ordered Spaghetti with meat sauce and Italian Sausage. The spaghetti & meat sauce was fine. The meal was like warm not very hot. But my Italian sausage was way too burnt. covered with sauce thinking I wouldn’t notice. I showed the manager and he said yes it burnt and he offered to make me another plate but by the time I get it my family would be done with there meal. I put it to the side and just ate my Luke warm spaghetti. Manager didn’t offer a discount or anything else. I have eating here a few times before never had any issues. This is a fairly new Olive Garden less than a year old I believe. Customer service was ok but could’ve been better by the manager with this issue. Hope this issues gets fixed.

This is a really nice new restaurant. We have eaten here probably 5 times since it has opened. We had a very nice waiter Corey. He was very kind and attentive. The food was great. I like the shrimp scampi with broccoli instead of pasta. The dishes they serve are so good. I would recommend asking though because some of the dishes are rich. The desserts are very good especially the cheesecake. We will be back!

We just ate here on opening day! Delicious and welcoming environment! We enjoyed the booth seating. A little pricey. We had the meatball parmianga for appetizer. For entrees the Tour of Italy and the Steak Gargonzala. Delicious! Our granddaughter had the kids pizza and spaghetti. Only 6.99 for kids meal and included the drink. Our waitress was Carizma. She was lovely! We will be back.

Matt, Ryan and Rene were perfect! We had constant attention and stellar service. We ordered the Calabrian Steak & Shrimp Bucatini, which was one of the best meals I’ve had in quite a while. The chef cooked our steaks exactly the way we wanted them, and the shrimp was delicious. The pasta was tender, and the sauce was unbelievable! The restaurant was busy but we didn’t have to wait. We can’t wait to come back for more. Absolutely amazing, Olive Garden! What a great visit.

So much better. Best time to come to Olive Garden is between 1:00 pm and 4:00 pm. You can have a discussion without having to shout or have your companion repeat what they said. Food was hot when it came to the table. Service was excellent!! Natalie was fantastic as a server.

Finally dined in for the first time since this location opened. Usually ordered pick up. We had a late dinner and came in an hour before closing. The host was very kind and funny. Our waiter was superb and very attentive. Love the new layout of this location. Diffent from others. Dinner was delicious and fabulous atmosphere.

I dont like pasta of any kind, and I expected a bad meal. I was surprised when the fried ravioli and fried shrimp and bell peppers came to the table. Great food. The chicken ( dumpling) soup was outrageous. Could have just kept eating soup for the meal. I did get the NEW steak and Shrimp pasta and have to say ot was Ok. I will definitely go back with my wife

What a wonderful dining experience we had today to celebrate my birthday! We were meeting family for lunch @ 11:15, and the waiter was very accommodating, he moved tables together at our request, and with such a polite manner! The food was not only delicious, but didn’t take a long time, and we loved that the salad dishes were freezing cold and the lunch dishes were very warm, which kept our food hot! The waiter kept coming around to refill drinks and bread, and a manager kept checking on how we were doing…this never happens @ the CC location! Overall, we agreed that the Portland Olive Garden will now be our “celebration” restaurant!!! Thank you for a very pleasant dining experience…you should be so proud of your employees!!!
