I have always loved John’s bar ever since I moved to Michigan from Colorado, my dad showed me this place and I always try to stop by if I’m ever hungry. Not only is the food really good because of their 60 year age seasoned grill but the atmosphere is that of a bar of the ages, probably because it goes back almost 90 years, the booths, chairs, and overall experience it genuine, literally, I think most of their furniture goes back to the 50s, also the place is almost never busy (if you exclude the average midnight bar goer) but otherwise everything is awesome, I’m almost 17 and I still love this place

A small bar/party store on M-15, a few miles south of Bay City. I stopped in here on a mid-day afternoon, and there was no one else there besides the owner. As I mentioned, the building is very small. I believe it is connected to their house. I ordered a chicken sandwich. The grills/stoves are located directly across from the bar, so I actually got to see her make my order. The food was great and reasonably priced.
