Cliff’s place is your classic midwest lunch and dinner diner. Fantastic food and service, a wonderful atmosphere, and you can tell that the locals love it.
I had the pork tenderloin sammich, and it was divine. Highly recommend.
The salad bar looked like it had seen better days, but it was later in the day so it may have already been ransacked.
Overall, I highly recommend Cliff’s Place. It was really refreshing.

Iowa’s best tenderloin does not disappoint! This is a small town bar and restaurant. It’s NOT a dive bar! Things are neat and clean. The service was excellent. The prices were very reasonable. The only suggestion I would make is that they update their restrooms. That aside, I highly recommend this place. I know I’ll be back!

What an amazing gem! The pork tenderloin sandwich and hashbrowns were phenominal. Cooked to perfection, very welcoming staff, couldn’t ask for much more. Definitely worth a visit if you are in the area.

Small town hospitality. They have a very good pork tenderloin sandwich. The tenderloin is Iowa style. Thick and juicy. It is worth the drive.

Me and my wife came to visit west Iowa and wanting to stop by for lunch in Manning. We thought Cliff’s looked like a fine establishment but we were wrong. When we first stepped inside building we looked through the menu and salad bar looked particularly appetizing that day. So obviously me and my wife both got salad bar. The total was $22 which is fair I guess. The problems started to emerge when we began to eat. There was plenty of options don’t get me wrong but after going back for more soup the waiter stopped me and practically cut me off from the salad bar unless my wife and I wanted to pay DOUBLE! Me and my wife had gone up around four times because we were starving. I’ve been to hundreds of restaurants and not a single one has been a stingy as Cliff’s. Con artist like them are the reason small towns like Manning struggle to find business.

I was looking for a late 80’s early 90’s style pork tenderloin. I do not think they make them anymore, but this was excellent.

We stop here whenever we are visiting Manning. For many years, we’ve always gotten the fried chicken, which is amazing. Since they won the statewide competition for breast pork tenderloin, we figured we had better try it. It’s as amazing as the chicken. We will now have a hard time deciding what to order. Fantastic people and food!!

Best prime rib I’ve had in years, and very well priced. Service was great and friendly. Felt like home. Will definitely be back!
Wish the salad bar had more to offer.
