TO LIVE AND FRY IN L.A. In 2017, four childhood friends came up with a simple concept — take Nashville Hot Chicken and make it better than anyone else in America. With only a couple thousand dollars to their name, they boot-strapped a pop-up concept in a parking lot in East Hollywood serving a simple menu of tenders, sliders, fries, and kale slaw — they created a viral cult following with lines consistently over an hour long.

5-Star Review: Dave’s Hot Chicken – Waldorf Grand Slam!
I finally had the chance to visit the new Dave’s Hot Chicken in Waldorf, and it did not disappoint! As a local who drove down 301 on Sunday specifically to try this new spot, I was immediately impressed.
Atmosphere & Service
The moment I walked in, the atmosphere was fantastic—super clean with vibrant colors and great artwork that really brought the place to life.
I was greeted by Jada, who deserves major praise!
Since this was my first visit, I had questions, and Jada was incredibly informative and helpful. She took the time to walk me through the menu, recommend different combos, and even suggested specific condiments to try with the hot chicken sandwich. She also shared some great “gems” about their unique drink variations. Her customer service truly elevated the experience.
The Food
I didn’t have to wait long for my order, and the food itself was spot on. I got the Hot Chicken Sandwiches(mild & medium) and the French Fries. Everything was cooked perfectly: the chicken wasn’t too spicy and wasn’t over-seasoned—it was done just right.
I will absolutely be returning and am already telling my friends and family to stop by Dave’s Hot Chicken in Waldorf!

I paid $40 for a tray of 10 chicken tenders expecting the seasoned, red-spiced tenders this restaurant is known for. What I received were 10 plain, barely seasoned, extremely dry tenders.
This was a complete disappointment and easily the worst experience I’ve had with this restaurant. For a business that primarily sells chicken sandwiches and chicken tenders, serving food with virtually no seasoning is unacceptable.
The quality did not match the price, the presentation, or the expectation that this restaurant sets. I regret this purchase and will not be returning.

Went to Dave’s Hot Chicken today and the restaurant was really nice and clean. The lady who took my order was patient and calm, which I appreciated, and I got my food in under 10 minutes. Shoutout to the lady in the kitchen for adding the extra pickles I asked for lol! The food was extremely good. 10/10 in my opinion.

Our first time and we really enjoyed the medium flavored sliders. Dave #2 could have easily feed two people. The fries have a seasoning that I could do without but the husband enjoyed it. Food was presented well. They were generous with their condiments. We ate here and sat outside. Very comfortable seating.

My experience with Dave’s is always pretty decent food wise , Definitely could receive more fries in my meal and ensuring warm food.
My main issue is the service with the team here . The young ladies always seem to have a rude attitude and lack communication skills. There’s no reason for any attitude on multiple occasions while picking up food or ordering food. If there will be rude service , At least make sure my food is made warm and timely. This is ridiculous and This location can do better 100%.
Bathrooms could be cleaner too but I can understand as it was rush hour.

So why 3 stars? 1: Their combos don’t come with drinks? That or I got charged extra. 2: They upcharged me for cauliflower …. which costs less than chicken. I wouldn’t have minded paying the same price, but there’s no way to justify jacking up the price for something everyone knows costs less. I’d love to go back, but $18.32 is a bit high for a medium fries, medium soda, and about $0.50 worth of breaded cauliflower.

I was hungry after Viewing homes in the Waldorf Area. I stopped in for the first time. The Restaurant was very clean and staff friendly. Marybeth has great Customer Care! She explained the menu from top to bottom. Thank you for offering an additional option for us non meat eaters. The spicy cauliflower well done was so delicious! Thank you for a great experience!
