First time eating here and the food we ordered was good but there’s definitely room for improvement. First off, the cóctel de camarón (shrimp cocktail) was so full of flavor and the perfect amount of spice with the added bits of jalapeño and loads of shrimp, avocado, tomato, etc.
Next was the filete de pescado plate (fish fillet) that my husband ordered along with a chicken burrito (besides the fact that there was not enough meat in the burrito and it was packed with rice and beans, it was good). The fish plate itself was good but we’ve made better at home so I’ll leave it there.
Next, the caldo de res (beef soup) with veggies, potato and beef- now that was honestly the highlight of the meal. The flavor was so well put together and the meat was tender and just added lime and it was perfect! Would def order this again!
Next was the sopes de al pastor and carne asada. The sopes themselves were good and I highly recommend those. They held up pretty well and didn’t fall apart while holding and the meat was flavored well.
The tostada de ceviche was my final part of the meal and although it was cooked , the flavor just was not there. It wasn’t like it didn’t have enough, there was a lot of shrimp but it tasted like it wasn’t sitting in the flavor juices long enough if that makes sense.
All across the board- this place is a definite 8 out of 10. The food and presentation was good- it’s not very noticeable from the street and I only found it through google maps but I will definitely be coming back to try other items on their menu.

Menudo was really bad and also don’t know how they decided that it was ok for the menudo to be sold , I had gotten decent menudo from this place before. Don’t know what happened

A busy place! Always a good sign.

I had a carnitas plate and rated it a solid 7. The refried beans were creamy and delicious. The rice was fresh but otherwise unremarkable. The carnitas was well prepared and tasty. The red sauce was medium in heat but I’m sure the fire is available if asked for.

Nice staff but, dang, I should make an effort to learn Spanish. I’ll be back.

The Carne Asada tacos are really good. The tortillas are crisp and the meat is always tender and juicy. I always order 2 tacos and end up wanting more. But my diet prohibits it. It’s family owned and the owner is the Chef so you know he puts his heart into the food. They have “caldo de res”(beef stew/hearty beef soup) that is sooo good they serve with tortillas. Cilantro, oregano, onions and salsa picante on the side. Outdoor eating area. You can eat on a rainy day, except if it’s really poring and windy. Recommend it as early as 6 am for food for work or weekend with the family. 5☆s for me.

I would give 0 stars if I could. Ordered ceviche tostadas and they literally gave me a tostada de tomate and little bit of shrimp. Also took 30min just for that and a drink and everyone who ordered after got their food way before me. Just don’t go here.

Small legit Mexican food joint. Tried the barbacoa with consome… it was excellent. Also tried the torta de pierna de puerco and chorizo, both were off the chain! The beans here are delicious. The tortillas are hand made.

Coming back for freshly cooked cuertitos yo try those.
