Super cute café, I definitely recommend it! I ordered a cream cheese bagel and a hot chocolate and they were both perfect and came out surprisingly fast. The service was lovely and the atmosphere was calm and refreshing. 100% will be back again.

There are two strawberry matcha’s in this picture. One of them is from a different coffee shop. I tried it and was so disappointed. I decided to try Sidekicks. I described what I wanted to the Barista (I think her name was Koda) and she absolutely nailed it!! This matcha was 10/10 and completely satisfied my craving. As you can see from the photo… There’s a certain way a matcha is supposed to look & taste and Sidekicks is the place to go for a great matcha.

Recently returned after new ownership I am so happy to see them making little improvements to the place, still having my favorites and some new additions. Today I got a slice of Marionberry cream cake and it was delicious, love their collab. with Lovin Oven ❤ excited for the new owners and opportunities at this gem ❤

I recently visited because I heard they were under new ownership, and I was pleasantly surprised by the delicious cake my son & I ordered, as well as the service. Krista was very friendly, welcoming, knowledgeable about their menu and she even shared with us some ways they plan to improve their restaurant. I’m happy to see the effort and care they’ve already put into reviving this place and excited to see the continued improvements!

When I ordered Bonnie’s Shrimp Crunch Salad I expected a salad (lettuce?)with bay shrimp, noodles, green onion and some shredded carrots. I did not expect a carrot salad. Since I don’t like carrots, I picked out the tiny shrimp and the rest went in the compost. I re-read and really, there was no way to know. However, as always, the Lovin Oven cake was delicious and I’m grateful to Sidekicks for bringing their cakes to Albany.

I LOVE this place. There are a lot of little cafes in Albany but this is definitely my favorite. It gives off a very “stars-hollow” vibe and has lots of comfy seating, a great place to gossip! Everything I’ve tried here has been delicious, it’s rare to find a place where the food is just as good as the drinks! My personal favorite is the Turkey sandwich, simple but delectable. Their lemonade is unmatched and undoubtedly fresh squeezed. They have so many options!! Breakfast, pastries, lemonade, coffee, lunch, cakes, and it’s all so good!
The women who work there are extremely friendly, especially the owner. They are all very personable and make me feel like a regular! I highly reccomend sidekicks.
