We got daal makhani, and chana masala with a spice 7/10 and it was delicious.
Loved the daal makhani to be honest.

Oh and they have complimentary chai you can have while you wait. I thought that was a unique idea.

We went on a Tuesday evening. Good amount of seating, and not too busy.

I recently found this spot and it immediately transported me back to the great flavors I loved over the decades at Tandoori Times (all locations) before closing. This place is now a definite must-have in my regular rotation!

The service was also excellent; the people were personable and kind.

Everything was cooked perfectly:

– The Naan bread was soft, tasty, and impeccably cooked.
– The rice and curry were on point, and the meat (including the Tandoori Chicken) was cooked just right—tender and flavorful.
-The overall quality is exactly what I look for when I need to reset my palate with authentic, satisfying Indian cuisine.

Outstanding Value: The prices here are very reasonable compared to the majority (if not all) of Indian restaurants around town, making it easy to visit often.

What I ordered (enough for 2-3 people):

– Tandoori Chicken (Spice Level 8)
– Lamb Tikka Masala (Spice Level 7)
– Chili and Garlic Naan
– Rice (x2)

Note to Readers: This is a 100% legit review. I highly encourage you to deviate from your current go-to spot to expirence what truly good taste is like, or come through and check it out if this is your first time trying the cuisine!

Highly recommend! You won’t be disappointed. My video doesn’t do justice, but it works.

Maya is one of those family owned restaurants that brings to life the flavor of Northern Indian, Nepali, cuisine. Their generous helpings of basmati rice filled us up and the aromatic curries entertained our taste buds. The value of these meals is very high as the menu prices are lower than other sit down restaurants. So tip well and enjoy.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5-Star Review . Maya’s Kitchen

We ordered Maya’s Kitchen through DoorDash for the first time and were absolutely blown away. From start to finish, everything was outstanding! The food arrived hot, perfectly packaged, and clearly made with care.

Every dish was bursting with flavor, and the meat was incredibly tender. The coconut curry (with chicken) deserves a special shoutout, it was hands down one of the best I’ve ever had. Not overly sweet, just the perfect balance, and the chicken was juicy and cooked to perfection.

The garlic naan was another standout. Huge portion, soft, and unbelievably delicious, I could’ve eaten a stack of them! The portion sizes overall were generous, making it not only satisfying for dinner but great for leftovers or late-night snacking.

If the to-go experience was this incredible, I can only imagine how wonderful dining in would be. We’re already looking forward to our next order (or visit!).

If you’ve been hesitant to try Indian cuisine, this is the perfect place to start. Maya’s Kitchen will impress you, don’t wait to make it your next meal!

Out of this world! By far, the best Indian food in the Phoenix/Scottsdale area. In a little shopping center on Bell, Maya can easily be missed. Don’t! A cozy, small restaurant with a big taste, we went with Indian friends who know their food. They ordered for us, and the food was incredibly authentic and flavorful. With a spice scale of up to 10, we ordered 7.5 which was perfect. The 3 different Naan flavors were great especially when dipped in all of the sauces. Simply delicious.

This place never misses. Consistent quality and service. The family is so kind and Mom in the kitchen always has a smile. It’s a welcoming environment. We’ve never dined in, as it’s a small space, but everyone seems happy that is. The food is always piping hot even when we get it for takeout. I truly love this restaurant and the people that run it. Thank you for being our Indian gem in the desert.

The flavors of every dish we ordered were incredible! The moment you taste the food, you can tell just how much pride went into creating the dishes. I can go on raving about this place but I suggest you find out on your own. You will not be disappointed. The service was excellent. The portions and prices are very reasonable. A family of four was able to have an amazing meal and took home leftovers for $83 (tips included). Happy dining!

I recently had the pleasure of dining at your restaurant, and I wanted to take a moment to share my experience. Firstly, I must commend your team for creating such a warm and inviting atmosphere – it made for a truly enjoyable evening.

The food was simply fantastic – the half tandoori chicken was cooked to perfection and had a wonderful charred flavor, while the mutton biryani and chicken korma were both rich and full of delicious spices. The garlic naan was perfectly crispy and provided a great complement to the main dishes. To top it all off, the Mango lassie was a refreshing and sweet drink that was the perfect way to end the meal.

I must also commend your team for providing such wonderful service. Your server was attentive and knowledgeable about the menu, which made the experience all the more enjoyable.

Overall, I had a fantastic experience at Maya’s Kitchen and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for delicious Indian cuisine in northern Phoenix. Thank you for creating such a wonderful dining experience – I look forward to my next visit.

Update: we went to Mayas kitchen a couple more times and each time the food was amazing.

We have only gotten takeout at Maya’s, but it has been fantastic! We have gotten chicken korma, chicken tikka masala, and vindaloo curry chicken. The butter naan was a bit under-baked and chewy compared to the garlic naan, but this is minor. We definitely plan to return on a regular basis. By far, the best Indian food we have had in Phoenix. Even our teen who normally will not eat it loved Maya’s, and actually ate an entree instead of just naan and rice.

Overall 5/5 stars for Maya’s Kitchen! Lots of pros and some cons, but will definitely be back! Butter chicken was so flavorful and such a good portion size! We’ve tried other Indian restaurants in the area and it’s by far the best. Was disappointed in the naan. We did a take out order and half of the naan was so burnt it was almost inedible. It was thin and crunchy and wasn’t at all like the other half! Other half was deliciously chewy and garlicky. Would love to try it again to see if it is better! Wanted to get more than just two pieces of Gulab Jamun but it is what it is and we were glad to try it! We will be back!!
