Tried Steam Dumpling in Katy for dinner and had a great experience. The dumplings were freshly made and you can tell they’re not frozen — the wrappers were soft but still held together well, and the filling was juicy and flavorful.
We also ordered a few other dishes and everything came out hot and well-seasoned. Portions were fair for the price. The dining area was clean and comfortable, and service was friendly without being pushy.
If you’re looking for solid Chinese dumplings in the Katy / West Houston area, this is definitely worth checking out. Would come back again.

Absolutely outstanding! Staff is very nice and treated us like family. The ambiance is clean and modern. The food was fantastic and price was reasonable. We tried the hand torn noodles, beef rolls, soup dumplings, and much more. Everything was delicious. Will definitely be back!

This is one of the rare fine restaurants that I won’t mind going by myself(very seldom). However, hate to say the quality has been going down! Skin of soup dumplings is getting thicker & harder (can tell just by looking at them). Pan fried lamb siu mai has been getting sloppier every time…burned on one side & greasy, unlike the fine quality when they 1st opened. Don’t know if they had changed chef or kitchen just getting sloppy. Customers noticed it!
