Lowered my expectations to be realistic about eating airport food and this exceeded expectations (hardly). I wanted to write this review because although the food can leave some to be desired, I was pleasantly surprised with my food compared to other reviews, as the hand held menu items looked much more visually appealing and were a decent meal. My burger was middle of the line but fresh and tasty. I would not recommend ordering the pretzel bites, which came with 8 hard rounds without the seasoning in the original menu description.

Pros: draft beer is a good price, you can check out virtually, and the dining area was calm and not crowded.

Cons: expensive and generally lackluster food and slow service.

Arrived & there was a sign that said to seat yourself so we did, then a worker got mad at us for following the signs instructions & demanded that she sits us & she will flip the sign around. Felt more like a power trip since there was only one taken table at the restaurant. Got the Grand Slam Classic American Breakfast for $21. Eggs tasted very nasty & had a styrofoam texture. You’d be better off grabbing something from Dunkin.

Very busy, but it’s a holiday weekend so that may be why. Food was average, menu is small and not a lot of choices. I wish it was a bit more themed. The buffalo mac n cheese is hot hot hot, so if you don’t like spice steer clear.

We had a delightful experience with our waitress, she was super busy but sweet and attentive even though it was obviously a rough night for her.

Airport food always seems extra pricey and if you want a quick sit down and some sports tv on your way, this is the place.

Always a go to spot for me when traveling through Midway. Not the biggest menu but they have some really good burgers sandwiches, wings and hot dogs. Very tasty Chicago dog on a poppy seed bun. My last visit there, from the time I sat down, ordered and got my food, I think it only took about 5 minutes. Great spot to sit down versus the food court area.

I came here after the rude service at Reillys Daughter down in the A concourse.

The bartender was prompt and friendly and atmosphere is ok with lots of tv’s. I wish the club sandwich was better. The sourdough bread does a great impression of Wonder bread.

A Pricey Encounter

A long voyage across the galaxy—or merely a layover at Midway—demands refueling. And so, to White Sox Restaurant, I ventured. With hunger gnawing at me like a Sarlacc lurking in the sands, I ordered the Fastball Fried Chicken Sandwich with French Fries and an iced tea. The sustenance? Acceptable. The service? Steady, like a disciplined Padawan. But the price? Outrageous, it was.

Nearly $37 credits for a simple meal? A Jedi does not crave material wealth, but even in the depths of Coruscant’s underbelly, one could feast for far less. And the mixed drinks—almost $25 credits each? Pure Huttese extortion! It seems Midway Airport subscribes to the Sith doctrine of price gouging, solidifying its reputation as one of the most expensive ports in the galaxy for dining.

Would I return? Perhaps, if caught in a hyperspace anomaly with no other options. Otherwise, I’d seek sustenance elsewhere—where the Force (and my wallet) can remain in balance.

The waiter Robyn E was very rude and unprofessional. We sat and listened to her talk inappropriately the whole night . Why she ignored us, I don’t know. I think she forgot she was at work and not at home. She charged me for fries that I didn’t get and got very upset when I asked her to take it off. I had to call her to get the check because she was too busy entertaining other employees. Never again. 0 out of ten

Seat yourself. No problem. Wait, every single table is still dirty with glasses, dishes, etc. I found the last clean table. My server greeted me promptly and took my order. Finally 15 min later I saw a woman that looked like a mgr bussing and wiping every table in the place. Make your staff do that. Dont they want more tables to service?

My Cobb Salad amd iced tea were good.

This place looks a lot better than it tastes and serves. We ate here while waiting to fly home at the airport. They neglected to tell us they don’t have free refills. We ordered food and drinks and expected it to be typical bar food but no free refills or complimentary fries with my $24 chicken sandwich…. WHAT THE HECK. And the soda cost $4.50 a cup. Service was mediocre at best. We had to ask for silver ware as well as napkins. We fly through MDW a lot so we’ll definitely be skipping this place next time. Thanks but NO THANKS Go-Go White Sox Bar and Grill.

Sucks as bad as its namesake. 1. Only 1 or two workers acted like they even wanted to be there. 2. I got my drink (after waiting forever since only one actual waitperson not sure what everyone else in the dining area was) twenty minutes after the food came out. It was just fountain ginger ale, had to ask about it. 3. They call these the helping of pickles that come with the soft pretzels. Idk maybe it’s just me but two of them and that was it. Reminds me of what Reinsdorf is prob packin. On the plus side there was a little bit of baseball on a couple of the dozen TVs.
