I drive past this small, locally-owned take-out place every week. On a whim, I stopped by and ordered the hot wings. Being a sunny afternoon, I ate at one of their picnic tables
To get to the point, I was impressed. These were the plumpest, juiciest wings I’ve ever had in the county. The hot sauce was generously present and the flavor just right – a nice burn without overwhelming the flavor of the chicken. The staff were courteous and friendly. If I were to offer one critique, it would be that wet naps be offered with wings as the napkins provided were insufficient to clean messy fingers.
Once word of this place gets out, I think some of the better known restaurants will need to up their game. Haytown Family Hangout is a gem hidden in plain sight.
