From the moment I walked through the door I felt at home. The SERVICE from the manager behind the bar and Servers passing through was top notch. The food was some of the best I’ve had. Fresh, delicious and unique. This place is a gem. I am a General Manager of a Restaurant and give this place a 10 out of 10!

This is a cute little restaurant with eclectic decor. The menu has a very nice selection of southern foods. The issues we had is that the kitchen is talking so loud between the three people back there that it ruined the ambiance. Also, ordered meatloaf and I could tell it had been cooked the day before and then reheated in a microwave. Wife had a chicken sandwich that she enjoyed. If they could take care of the kitchen excessive noise and not reheat food that been prepared earlier, I think the meal would be more enjoyable for sure.
The manager was very friendly and spoke with us for a while. The restaurant for sure has potential if the above mentioned issues were fixed. Tons of southern foods on the menu so plenty of good eats to try here. Will try again one time to see if the above issues haven fixed as it has the best southern menu I have seen in Sarasota/Bradenton. Like a lot of restaurants if they fixed a few issues I think they will see their business volume increase.

What a great place! I had the best French onion soup outside of Montreal at the Lazy Ballerina. The interior is fresh, airy, beautiful and cozy all at the same time — like dining in an art gallery. They lost one star for the long wait for my soup (about half an hour), for which my sweet waitress apologized, but still worthy of losing one star. Otherwise, it was perfection!

Great staff, laid back atmosphere, reasonable prices, and yummy food. Just as other reviews suggested, their French onion soup is the real deal.

Blown away! Super clean and sharp atmosphere. Becky took care of us, she was excellent. But the food……spectacular! We had Pork Belly to start, then the prosciutto flatbread and short ribs. Amazing! Then we finished it off with pumpkin pie and bread pudding. Tonight was our very first visit but it will be far from our last. Might be our new go-to spot.

What a fun place to eat at! We absolutely loved the decor. The food was tasty. We wish we had more fries with our burger! Also it took about 45 min for the food to come out which is pretty hard with kids but so worth the wait. Also the carrot cake was amazing!

My hubby had been waiting for the perfect occasion to take me to “The Lazy Ballerina.” Tonight was the night! What a delightful restaurant. The food was delicious and our server, Kristen, was wonderful! I suggested they open it up for High Tea on the weekend. Kristen said she would pass on my suggestion to the owner. I can think of many folks who would enjoy this venue for tea, scones, little sandwiches and cakes! Thank you for the perfect evening before the opening of my play with Sunshine State Theatre at Oscura. ❤️
