The food was exceptional, we couldn’t understand why the restaurant was empty. The staff were very welcoming, friendly, and attentive. The food was glorious. We didn’t have starters, but the pig cheeks were melt in the mouth and the sauce rich and sticky. The potato croquettes were crisp, peppery and smooth. It was like the best home cooked meal you could get.
The salmon was also delicious, a generous portion and very soft.
The moelleaux aux chocolat was the best I’ve ever had, a gooey, hot, rich middle, with a slightly crisp edge to the cake.
We visited on a Saturday in February, and the restaurant was empty except for us and another pair. Perhaps to be expected in a small village, but a shame for the proprietors.
Would 100% come back again!

We drove by the restaurant and decided to explore a bit. We found it was indeed a treasure! Food is excellent, my salmon was extraordinary and my friend chose the pig cheek, the two were very good and the wines are also well chosen by the restaurant. We had ate well but too much here! Highly recommend to dine in here!

Great Traditional Spot with Delicious Food

We got to Saint-Riquier on a Friday afternoon and were a bit surprised to see so many empty tables—probably because it was just before the summer season kicked off. It made the place feel a bit quiet, but that didn’t take away from the experience at all.

The food was fantastic. We tried the ficelle picarde (a warm, cheesy mushroom crêpe gratin) and the tatin d’oignons (an onion tart with offal sausage—much tastier than it sounds!). The assiette du pêcheur was super generous, packed with different kinds of fish, and full of flavor. We also had the fricassée de Saint-Jacques, which was rich and comforting.

For dessert, we went with the crème brûlée and the moelleux au chocolat. Both were great, but the moelleux was next-level—soft in the middle, warm, and seriously one of the best desserts I’ve had in a while. If you have a sweet tooth, ensure you go for that over the crème brûlée!

Service was friendly and attentive, and overall, it was a lovely meal. We’d definitely come back.

This is an excellent restaurant. By wife, daughter and I had different starters, mains and puddings. Every dish was very good and served with a smile. A real find – we thoroughly recommend it

A lovely little restaurant. The food was really good. We arrived on a quiet Wednesday so this affected the atmosphere. However, the food and service was great.
