Bamboo Bistro is a must stop for great food as well as excellent service. Phoung is a sweetheart and always enjoying visiting and chatting when we visit. The food is delicious and am never disappointed. My favorites are vermicelli noodle bowl (chicken) and the vegetable pho! So good. It’s a pleasure dining with them!

Dinner for two on a Friday eat in. We are both vegan – EASY to understand menu with an entire vegan section so it is very easy to understand what we could order. Casual atmosphere with very friendly wait staff. Food was some of the best food we have ever tasted. Flavors were on point. I’m kinda disappointed. I ordered Ramen with chicken. I expected fresh ramen but they use cheap instant noodles instead. (That might cost only less than $3) there’re some chicken pieces and veggies. Service is ok. I’m sad At least, explain in detail what the ingredients are in each dish. I have eaten instant noodles for 20 years I grew up eating it. It’s considered Asian junk food that I like to eat when I was broke because it’s cheap. I didn’t expect that the restaurant would add this to the menu and make it their specialty.

Bamboo Bistro is a good establishment. Dine-in was not available as of May 2024, but dine in is going to be an option in the summer tentatively. They have vegan options and cusines that can be made vegan upon request. The staff was friendly, welcoming, and ensured all dietary needs were met, which was much appreciated. The quality of the food was excellent and fresh. This spot is well recommended for vegetarian and vegan communities. Overall, this was an excellent experience.

The other quite good Asian cuisine in the Westbrook area. I’ve mostly done take out here via their online menu order system. Food is consistently ready and hot to go upon pickup. Staff is friendly and family run. Make sure to ask for utensils as I’m noticing a lot of eateries stopped simply providing them with overhead costs going up. Two thumbs up for simple quality fare.

I recently visited this restaurant under the new ownership, and I have to say the change is amazing! The atmosphere feels welcoming, and the staff are so friendly and attentive. The food is absolutely delicious—fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with care. You can really taste the difference with the new menu and the quality ingredients. It’s exciting to see how much the place has improved, and I’m looking forward to coming back often. Highly recommend giving it a try if you haven’t been since the new owners took over!

I placed a catering order at Bamboo Bistro for a party and it was a huge success. It was very affordable, everything was ready on time and clearly labeled, and it was very popular with my guests. I only wish I had more leftovers!
