Fulldistance Going
This is a casual spot for the locals. I don’t suspect you will see tourists here. A few tables and a counter with stools to sit and eat. They do a robust business in “take away”. You place the order at the window and they deliver the food to your table. There is glass cabinet with snack items to choose from. It seems they make all food items fresh each day. Breakfast and lunch are their main thrusts. Our Puri which is actually a Dahlpuri was served warm and it was tasty. The Chana had no real taste and was served cold. This did not make be happy. The coconut choka was nice and chili-wise hot. One serving is a small ping pong size ball. The mango curry was interesting. All in all decent experience. PS: The chai was luke warm which was a bummer.

This local curry spot has delicious food. Service is pretty efficient, at times not super warm and friendly but nice enough, amd will bring food to your table if you tell them youre eating in. My faves are the mango, pumpkin and channa curries. The atmosphere is not fancy but is clean and comfy enough!

This place is simply incredible and I cannot recommend it enough. I ordered takeout with the GT Eats app and the food was an explosion of delicious Guyanese flavor and so many vegetarian options! Each dish was delicious and very reasonably priced! Def come here if visiting Georgetown.

I had the 7 curry plate and it was delicious. The sauce that accompanies the rice is spicy and good. I loved the pumpkin curry the most. It was the perfect introduction to Guyanese food. Highly recommended!

Don’t know who’s trying to sell the idea that this place is still great. It’s NOT. Guyanese really accept substandard quality service in this day and age from places like this who try to justify. Almost try to sell me a box of rice with a hint of Coconut Choka that was camofaldged amongst the rice. I did not see it other than on the menu board before buying . When I objected they try to tell me that I already opened the box lol. Shanta must be turning in her grave the way this pace is being run. Nevr going back here.
