At our Alexandria, LA location, we are part of a historic seafood tradition. Captain D’s Seafood Restaurant first opened its doors back on August 15, 1969. A lot has changed since then, but our commitment to serving freshly prepared seafood at a great value has been our core mission from the beginning. Known originally as Mr. D’s Seafood and Hamburgers, Captain D’s was opened in Donelson, Tennessee. From the very start, we set out to provide quality seafood at reasonable prices, a concept that was revolutionary at the time.

This is one of my favorite places to eat, but today we bought the giant fish sandwiches and must’ve been under a toaster for more than a couple of hours because it was the most stale and hard sandwiches I’ve ever bit into.i couldn’t finish it it was so bad! Please dont do this anymore fresh made is always better and your store is better than what we had today! Please fix this or other reviews will be bad! The window service was great but the food wasn’t.

I visited this Captain D’s restaurant which was a first ever and was pleasantly surprised by the overall experience. The staff provided friendly and attentive service, the food was flavorful and satisfying, and the restaurant was well-maintained and clean. I truly hope Captain D’s expands to my area, I’d love to become a regular!

$18.10 for a 6 piece chicken with two, ” included,” at extra charge, sides, is criminal. This is a fast food place, but I had to wait 19 minutes for my food, which was cold by the time I sat down. I know it was 19 minutes because when I finally got my order, I was told my order did not include a drink, which I had to buy for an additional 3.08. The staff clearly don’t want to be here. Im sure this sounds overly dramatic, but i can not stress enough how much of a fool i feel for having paid over 20 dollars to eat here. This was the first and last time I will try a Captain d’s

Yesterday was the 1st time going back to this place in a while due to the poor service we received previously. And I’m here to tell you that the service received last night was absolutely fantastic! Food was hot didn’t take long and the 2 employees we dealt with were both great. We will be back!

Captain D’s offers delicious seafood that keeps me coming back for more. The crispy fish and hush puppies are always a treat! However, the staff could use some improvement. Service often feels rushed and impersonal. With better customer service, dining here would be an even greater experience.
