This is only our second visit, but the last visit was probably close to a year ago. This time was definitely better and I’m so glad we tried again! (I’m obsessed with pupusas AND curtido, so I might be a tough critic.)
***Side note: they have a tent with a few tables. It used to have covered sides. It did not when we visited last week.
I am deathly allergic to crustaceans, so I didn’t try any of their nice shrimp menu items that I would have loved to try.
My husband got a seafood soup. We got some chicharron, some bean and cheese, and some biria pupusas. My daughter got a cheese quesadilla, with rice only by request.
We also got a whole bunch of proposals to go for different friends that don’t live near this place. We also got them a chicken quesadilla for their kids and a carne asada 3 taco plate.
Condiments:
Typical pupuseria curtido…but weak on the oregano and chili flakes? I honestly couldn’t even tell if they were there but we had to eat fast and go. Still it was definitely good not great but good! It was sufficient to add a bit of depth and flavor to the busa, which is good enough for me…
Especially because the bottle deep red salsa (that you can see seeds in it) this one was so so good!!
Basic lighter red table salsa for pupusas .
I found that layering the deep red sauce on top of the other condiments inside of the pupusa was so full flavored eating method. Oh.my.goodness!!!
They do not have a bathroom but the gas station, next door does and they are very nice. (Just watch out because as soon as you enter. If you have kids they stick suckers in their face and don’t ask you if you want your kid to have a sucker. And if you go back in they will literally do it again. And when you tell your kid not to take one, they might kind of argue with you like they did with me. A little strange.)
There is a bikini coffee drive-thru with window in shot of the taco truck. Fyi.
There is a decent amount of parking and they have recently repaved the parking lot which is great! This is also a pretty good location because there are a few ways out of there depending on where you are going from there.

I’ve been coming here for a couple years now and the quality is consistent. This is definitely one of the best trucks in the Renton Highlands. The pupusas are so delicious! They have meat and non-meat fillings. You can get three pupusas for $10. Another favorite of mine is the tacos al carbon with carne asada! The carne asada is nice a smoky with a little char. You have to order guacamole on the side if you want it and I definitely recommend you try it. I hope they never leave!

The al pastor tacos where pretty good.
I have no complains with the asada but they weren’t impressive.. Still a good taco though.
I drowned my tacos in the green sauce and it was a perfect level of spice with a good taste that still let you eat without taking multiple sips of your drink.

My wife had popusas and they were great even in my opinion. The tacos i ordered however ( pastor and asada), even though they looked great were absolutely terrible coming from a taco enthusiastic. The asada had no flavor but were salty. The pastor did not taste like pastor. Salsas were not good at all. Definitely will not order tacos from there again. Wife said the service was friendly.

Really great. I have been by this place many times, but I never saw it. Diamond in the rough! They have some of the best carnitas around, and the al carbon tacos are something that most other taco trucks don’t have.

The loroco pupusas were great and the chicharron had the original taste of El Salvador! The salsa was a bit spicy. Very nice dining area.
