Maaaaaan these reviews aren’t lying! We’re traveling for work, just passing through, and there’s not a lot of options out here. We stopped here because of the reviews. When it comes to BBQ, I’m very picky. A couple weeks ago I told myself I wouldn’t be trying another BBQ spot after finally trying one near home, after 5 years of living there, and it was trash! But Fat and Happy BBQ did not disappoint!! The catfish was the best catfish I’ve ever had, the ribs were perfection, same with the Mac n cheese. Now, the potato salad… I never order potato salad because I’ve only ever liked my ex-inlaws. Restaurants and store bought ones are gross. Well, after reading the reviews, I asked the owner what was in it and gave it a try. Best potato salad I’ve ever had as well! Do yourself a favor and stop here. Owner was super friendly as well.

Im the truck driver that was wearing the iraqi freedom veterand hat u served this afternoon on jan-13-2026 and i love barbecue and I’ve been all over the country and eaten a lot of barbue… and by far the best ribs EVER IN MY LIFE HANDS DOWN PERIOD…. thank you sir for the great food every time im passing through here I will be stopping u gained a loyal customer today…. truckers stop and see this man its conveniently right next to love just a 50 yard walk from truck parking

I couldn’t believe the amount of meat we got for the small sandwich. Very generous and delicious! Reasonably priced too. Coming through town we hadn’t realized it was a food truck when we picked it on the map. However, we’re so glad we stopped! We got the small pulled pork sandwich and brisket sandwich. Yummy!

Grabbed a plate on my way through Memphis and the food did in fact leave me fat and happy! Catfish was seasoned well and the meat was flaky, edges were crunchy, I loved it. Hush puppies were AMAZING. Had a little jalapeño taste in them but not overpowering. The ribs were juicy, probably the best ribs I’ve ever had! I cleaned my plate. 10/10

This was my first time stopping in and I am certainly glad that I did. I had the chopped brisket with potato salad and mac n cheese. The brisket was absolutely delicious and the potato salad was on point! The Mac n cheese was ok but I just prefer a different kind of Mac n cheese. I’m sure a lot of people would enjoy it. I’m picky. I highly recommend this spot and I’ll be stopping in again every time I pass through! Great job guys!!

Honestly, one of the most perfect examples I’ve ever seen of a perfectly cooked cut and seasoned brisket. The marbling was perfect. The grain was perfect and the cook was perfect. What a fantastic hidden gem in the middle of Memphis Texas. You can’t be eating outside at a picnic table while enjoying the hot Texas Indian summer. The proprietor was amazing. Would recommend, but come early, because once it’s gone it’s gone.

This BBQ is fantastic and especially the Mac and cheese, everything seemed fresh, and super friendly guy running it, I highly recommend this place, I always hear the great stories about this BBQ and after trying it myself.I know for myself, don’t miss out on one of the best BBQ around.I am sure you will not be disappointed either and the prices are reasonable.

Best catfish I’ve had in a very long time. Perfectly cooked. Perfectly seasoned $11 bucks with some seasoned fries and hush puppies. Made fresh. What else is there to say!? Get out the truck and walk over there NOW! Sliced brisket with Mac n cheese and green beans was perfect. Brisket was cooked very well. Owner and his a cousin were cool. Friendly service as well! Owner was showing another driver around his smoker when I walked up. Gotta support folks like this!

As we traveled thru Texas we just had to stop. It was some of the best Texas BBQ food we’ve had. We picked a few different items off the menu. Meats we’re cooked wonderfully and sides were delish. Fast service and nice staff. A definite stop for us next time we’re in Texas. AA+
