I decided to try this spot while I was in Columbia visiting family. I knew I wanted some chicken but want something different from the norm. I must say, Slim Chickens didn’t disappoint. I was surprised at the amount of food that was in the bag because it seems that most companies/restaurants are practicing ’Shrinkflation’ since Covid .
On a serious note, the food was hot & fresh to order. I’ll stop in with my kids the next time we’re in town.

Popped into the new location on Killian, had to study the menu to figure out how it works. Basically pick your Fried chicken and pick your sauce! We tried Korean BBQ, Honey mustard and the Garlic Parmesan and they were all fabulous. I appreciated the cleanliness of the new facility.

Visited this location on 6/30/2025 and there was an object in the middle of the strawberry cheesecake jar. I’m certain that this is something that is off of something that is used within this restaurant but the manager acted as if he had never seen this paper before. I received a refund and a non empathetic apology. There is no telling where that paper had been before it was placed in the middle of that jar! Do Better!

The people were nice however I had to ask for sweet tea cause there wasn’t any. I had to ask for forks because there wasn’t any, there was no TP in the ladies room and no hand soap in the men’s room. They were just lacking on the details.

The only thing that was good was the mushrooms! My chicken sandwich did not look NOTHING like the pictures! It was so thin and I am pregnant I cannot eat a lot of things! The Mac didn’t have No taste! This was my first time!! Never again! I am literally sick! This was the only thing I ate today!

Great food, location, and service for lunch on Monday 12-28-25. Only complaint is the facilities are not being cleaned well. The bathroom walls, doors, and tops of the garbage cans are all filthy. It’s the easy stuff they need to improve at this site.

Ordered chicken tenders meal and upgraded to a milkshake and a 5 count wing meal with spicy red hot sauce. Chicken was better than “Z’s”. Toast good. Minor issue was fries; cooked perfectly, but some had almost no seasoning while others were covered. Just need to balance out the fries and the meals would be perfect.

I was excited about different take- out chicken options when Slims came to the NE. We have ordered three meals from the Killan location, same meal each time two orders of (fried mushrooms and hungry meal) the 1st two times of ordering the food was fresh and hot.. mushrooms were on point!
However today @ 12:41 I stopped in for lunch and I was totally SHOCKED to receive such a HORRIBLE, GREASY, GROSS meal.
Although I had to wait for the mushrooms when I received them they were GREASY with all the coating basically stuck to the carton also the order was 1/2 the size compared to the prior week. It look as if they were thawed, microwaved , or thrown into oil that wasn’t the appropriate temperature.
The portion was tiny for the price ask to be compensated with another order which wasn’t issue.
Unfortunately that order was as GREASY as the 1st. The tenders in my Husbands hungry meal looked as if they had been cut in half to make a full order!
Hopefully this location hasn’t already gone downhill. Columbia’s restaurants/ fast food is known to be VERY inconsistent! SADLY
