I’ve passed by this place many times, but it was always closed whenever I had the chance to stop — until today. Finally gave it a try and ordered the Pulled Pork sandwich. It was decent, just okay — nothing special to highlight. The staff, however, were very friendly, and the lady taking my order was especially kind and welcoming. Big respect to her. Overall, if you’re tired and looking for a quick bite, it’s a decent spot to grab something and rest for a bit.

PLEASE quit advertising you sell “WV hotdogs”! You are literally giving WV dogs a terrible name. The fact that you are charging $7.50 for a hotdog on a stale bun with hardly any toppings and what tasted like canned sauce/chili! $16.00 for two dogs is asinine! First and last time!

The West Virginia chili dog was really good, and the brownie went down very well with a cup of coffee. Was pleasantly surprised they had this nice of a restaurant in the rest area.

It was not too busy when I arrived in midafternoon. I ordered the “West Virginia Hotdog” because I had never had one. It is a hotdog with onions, mustard, chili and cole slaw – it did not sound promising, but it was fantastic! The ladies that worked there were friendly. I also bought a West Virginia coffee mug while there, because why not? Overall a great experience.

Bought a cold turkey sandwich and a small bag of Doritos came out to $16.00. $16 is INSANE b/c a Cold sandwich usually $7, $6 or less and small bag of Doritos $2.50 at Pilot/Loves.

Excited to see this Cafe open. So great to be able to get a real meal at a rest stop. One of the best hotdogs I’ve ever eaten! Wife got the chicken salad on a croissant, which was also excellent. Staff were both friendly and efficient. The rest stop itself is not great, but this little hidden gem café is reason enough to stop.
Edit: After two subsequent visits, I feel it’s necessary to update my review. The hotdogs now are not the same at all as my first visit. It’s now just a budget hotdog that you would expect to get at a gas station. Dog was small, bun was stale and dry. Chips are no longer included. Prices are absolutely ridiculous for what you now get. For two regular hotdogs and two drinks, it was now over $25!! Considering how poor the actual rest area is, and now with the overpriced and underwhelming food at the cafe, I would suggest you visit the newly renovated rest stops nearby

I drive a big rig. My truck broke down here and my stay here was a week long. From day one the people that work here made my stay here as pleasant as one could possibly imagine. The prices are a little higher than your neighborhood cafe. But that’s to be expected from shops in remote locations such as this. Other than that the rest of my experience was great. The food was great, and you will agree if your diet allows for the items on the menu. The hours of operation are short in my opinion. 10 am until 5 pm and sometimes 6 pm. The staff was professional and curious all the time. One lady, Ericka, I believe to be a manager went above and beyond to make my daily visits to this shop pleasant. Thank you Ms Erika and Ms Sarah for your hospitality. The cafe was always clean every time I visited it even at times that it was at its busiest. With the exception of one or two customers everyone visiting this cafe seemed pleased with their experience. I will definitely be visiting here again. They have shirts with the captions “Almost Heaven West Virginia” not sure is that’s their own slogan or that of WV. But it sums up my experience here.

The blonde lady who was working the register (I should have gotten her name) was fantastic. She was incredibly nice. I ordered a coffee and was actually blown away by it. It’s been a while since I’ve really enjoyed a simple cup like this. I’ll definitely be stopping by again when I travel through the area!

Very charming place at a rest stop in the interstate. As I entered, there was a nice lady who was cleaning and she greeted me right away. I ordered the Bagel Breakfast sandwich which was awesome. It’s a hidden jewel, just being overshadowed by larger, more corporate places. Stop by, you won’t regret.
