Reviews
Portions are generous and prices are beyond reasonable.
I look forward to future catering events as well as making my way to their restaurant for a personal Joyful Dim Sum experience.
Giving 5 stars across the board because it’s that good.
Food: The dim sum was warm and steamy, and the quality was solid. My only gripe was the limited menu—no shrimp rice rolls or fried shrimp crescents, which are some of my favorites. If you’re happy with staples like Shiu Mai or Har Gow, you’ll enjoy it.
Service: No issues. I picked up my order by name, and that was it.
Atmosphere: The setting is simple and casual, with a cafeteria-like vibe. It’s good for a laid-back meal but not for anything formal.
Overall: It’s a decent spot with a smaller menu. Two orders of dim sum were enough to satisfy me, and I’d come back if I was in the mood for a quick and easy dim sum fix.
I have tried places like Mr. Siu Mai but this place takes the cake.
The food here is made with super fresh seafood and pork meat.
Their oil used to fry things tastes very clean and fresh.
Portions here are also very generous and the atmosphere is perfect. Very quiet as well!
Would certainly come back here again!
UPDATE!!!!!
They just moved the restaurant just around the same shopping center to the old Laugh Tei restaurant location. They just opened yesterday in their expanded location just yesterday to 129 Anza St just next to Elite Academy. Still the great food they serve with new items on their menu. You need to check out their new location and menu items!!
There were some hiccups initially, right after they moved location. However, the shop has worked hard to improve their time and quality.
We have enjoyed all their dishes the last few times we visited.
The rice rolls, the congee, the pork buns and shrimp dumplings are some of our favorites.
Please do come give this place a try!
What we ordered:
– Har Gow/ Shrimp Dumplings & Siu Mai/ Pork with Shrimp Dumplings
– Gai Lan/ Chinese Broccoli
– Baked Barbecue Pork Rolls
– Fung Jao/ Steamed Chicken Feet
– Xiao Long Bao
They serve everything in to-go style, very small place so make sure you go early. We came early to have a quick bite. People started coming in around 11:30, so luckily, we were done by then. The staff was friendly and the food was pretty good. Would come back again if I’m in the area.
