Solid bagel spot. The bagels are delicious and they have lots of choices to choose from, which I loved.
The only thing I will say is I do not think I have ever said a bagel had too much cream cheese, but this one did. It was interesting because each of us got different amounts on ours, so maybe there just needs to be a bit more consistency there.
Overall though, delicious and I would still come back. Loved the variety of options they offered.

Placed an online order, once I got home after picking up the order the order was wrong. All the bagels I had ordered were egg bagels, all the bagels I received were wrong. I asked for one with no cheese, 2 of them didn’t have any cheese. If they were sold out of egg bagels they could have gotten in contact with me, as my order had all of my contact information.

First visited Ruby’s Mt. Pleasant location a few years ago when my son moved to Patriot’s Point. Bagles were really good! Originally coming from New Jersey/ NYC area these bagels are authentic, the real thing. Recently relocated to SC and found the Summerville location ( there are 6 total I’m told). Happy to have found a location close to my new home. Choices are many, spreads are fresh, hot choices are fresh made and delicious. Seating is good, store has that old school NYC atmosphere.

I really enjoy stopping by Ruby’s Bagels for breakfast or a quick lunch. Their bagels are consistently fresh with that perfect chewy inside and lightly crisp outside, and there’s a great variety of flavors to pick from. The breakfast sandwiches are tasty and filling, and the coffee pairs well if you’re trying to jump-start your morning.
Service has been friendly and pretty efficient on most of my visits, even when there’s a bit of a line. The atmosphere feels welcoming and laid-back without dragging things out. I also like that they sometimes have seasonal specials and fun cream cheese options that keep the menu interesting.
The only reasons I’m at four stars instead of five: prices run a little higher than some basic bagel spots, and occasionally a popular flavor is sold out if you get there later in the day. A few of the specialty sandwiches haven’t wowed me as much as the classics, but everything is still solid overall.
All in all, it’s a great Summerville spot for quality New York–style bagels and a pleasant breakfast or brunch. Definitely worth checking out if you’re craving a good, hearty bagel.

It was busy, but worth the wait!
We tried the special on Sunday it was “The Bear” my husband loved it – my daughter had avocado on an everything bagel with over easy eggs – so fresh & she loved it! Then my son had a French toast bagel with oreo cream cheese- he was in heaven & finally when you can’t decide you get both! Caciopepe bagel with plain cream cheese – I still can’t believe they captured those flavors in a bagel & 2nd was a garlic bagel with bacon scallion cream cheese and again it was amazing! We also tried coffees – their maple cinnamon 10 out of 10! Husband loved his white chocolate mocha add peppermint & daughter had a biscoff latte – it was my least favorite thing out of all that we tried… we will be back!!!

The bagels are excellent and the staff is friendly and helpful. The atmosphere is, nice, simple and clean. There is lots to choose from and my bagel was great. My only pieces of feedback are that the prices are higher than desired (I paid $22 between my bagel and strawberry milk) which seemed NY-esque.
I was also surprised to see the staff start to stack chairs and move tables to clean just before 1pm when they close at 2pm. That could deter volume. Definitely a good place to enjoy once in a while and it is “New York” bagels. I will return for sure.

Unprofessional, dismissive to customers with minor issues that are easily rendered. Would not like to have a serious issue with staff. Black coffee with cold foam topped was half cold foam and they refused to fix. We’ve had other issues with sloppy food preparations and poor attitudes. It is unfortunate this isn’t the customer service they had when they first opened.

So happy to have a Ruby’s bagels in Nexton! We went today for opening day and everything we had was fantastic. We were so impressed with how quickly the line moved, how fast we received our order, the friendly staff, and how delicious everything was! The bagels are just like the bagels from up north which we had been missing since moving down here from CT. We will definitely be regulars here!

Bagels were 10/10 but the sandwiches 3/10. Lacking something, I can’t out my finger on it. Dill is missing, the salmon was dry, bulky tomato slices on top. The coffee has too much milk (you can see by the color) The vibe overall was odd and the service abrupt. I would 100% come back but to buy bagels only.
