Best Sushi. My parents travel a lot but they insist on going to Chef Soon when they visit because of all the sushi they’ve had in all of their travels, Chef Soon’s is still the best they’ve had.
This is the only sushi place where we eat the rolls without dipping them in wasabi and soy; they’re so flavorful on their own, they don’t need it. Blazing Mango, Fiesta, Firecracker, Summer, and Sweet Potato have been our favorites. They are great at substituting ingredients; we mentioned not liking shrimp and they suggested we order one of the shrimp rolls with a sub! Blazing Mango is particularly unique with jalapeño, mango, and strawberry; the flavors balance perfectly.
We only go a few times a year—I try to save it for when my parents visit, or else I’d go WAY too often—yet the staff often recognize us! If you are in the area, do not hesitate to make a reservation and go to chef soon. Even if you’re not usually a fan of sushi, you’ll provably still love it!

Upscale place located in a great downtown feeling area of Seven Bridges. I came here to have more specialized sushi that is harder to find and they didn’t disappoint! The uni was great, they had a wide variety of options for everyone. It’s worth trying at least once. You get what you pay for and this place is of high quality.

Got all the highlighted rolls. My bar tender Denise made best lychee martini 10/10. Denise has great hospitality and jokes. Eddie the manager has a friendly demeanor and knowledgeable about the sushi. He rocks. Perfect date night. Will be going back. All sushi was FRESH, TASTY.

Posting after our second trip. We had excellent food tonight! The crispy rice appetizer was excellent. The salad was great and super flavorful. Every roll was delicious. Quiet atmosphere, easy to talk with my wife. The service was amazing. Our waitress knew the menu in and out and even recommended the off menu Otoro!

Our serve Viki was absolutely phenomenal and welcoming. She explained every sushi item down to the T. Bonus is almost everything is gluten free! Rarely do I go to a restaurant and they tailor to gluten free allergy like they did. I will be coming back many times. Thank you for the wonderful experience.

Chef soon has been my go to sushi spot for years! Very unassuming location. The staff keeps the service moving fairly quickly – sometimes too fast! This means you can easily get in an out within an hour or even less if you know what you’d like..
The absolute best item on the menu is the seven spiced ahi. It’s an appetizer or crunchy rice and spicy tuna, topped with thinly sliced jalapeños – it’s amazing, get it and you will not regret it! I also really enjoy the house salad, it’s got the classic Japanese steakhouse salad dressing but better!
My favorite rolls are chef soon special maki, firecracker, summer, and blazing mango.

Absolutely love Chef Soon!! It is our favorite sushi spot- always super fresh and Chef Soon really gets creative with the ingredients and flavors. Chef Soon’s special maki roll with the truffle vinaigrette is to die for. Although I always want to try more things, this one is a must every time. The Summer roll is definitely a close second- so bright and flavorful with the thinly sliced lemon. The specials for this specific evening were phenomenal- and the bluefin nigiri is always a lovely treat. They put a little bit of wasabi underneath the fish on top of the rice for a little surprise. This evening was exceptional and I keep thinking about it the next day! Service and cocktails are great as well! We will continue to come back!

Haven’t been here in years and Chef Soon still does not disappoint! Food was still outstanding and they actually have Japanese Uni!! Do you know how hard that is to find anymore??!! Yeah, you pay for it….1 piece as Nigiri is $15, but sooooo worth it!

You have never had sushi until you’ve been to Chef Soon. The literal best sushi place I’ve ever had in the states. Unique rolls and food combinations all create a flavor experience like nothing you’ve ever had. I will say, I’ve been to Chef Soon multiple times before today, but I have learned, if you are lucky enough to have Denise serve you, you are going to have a phenomenal meal. The meal is always great, but chatting with Denise about the different flavor profiles, the execution of dishes, she is priceless. Great conversationalist and def knows her sushi!
