New restaurant in Fairfax City serving authentic Cajun food with a classic end of beignets and chicory coffee. Owner is from Lafayette, La. Full service bar with TVs showing the Saints game during football season.

Wonderful restaurant. The food was delicious and service outstanding. I had my first Sazerac! If I lived in town I would be a regular.

I am not sure how this restaurant is affiliated with New Orleans. Horrible food coupled with bad service is not at all representative of the Big Easy. I have dined at a few restaurants in the Big Easy, and the food was excellent compared to this garbage.
I ordered a cajun pasta with shrimp, and the shrimp was a bit undercooked and not seasoned well at all. Cajun dishes should never leave the kitchen without the seasoning bottom line. Although my meal was simple, the waiter appeared to be very confused when taking orders, answering questions, and doing his job in general. This was not a good experience at all.

It should and would be 4 to 5 stars except for one significant factor.
I have gone to eat here a few times. I’ve gone with my husband, and brought along a group of 20 or more even-money you no one complained about the food. I also plan to go again however I do not plan to order take out again. I have ordered takeout twice, and both times the food has been cold and tasteless. It is as if the person who is there during the day during the week when I’ve ordered carry out is not the same person who was there in the evenings or on the weekends when I have always dined in. The food when dining in is… absolutely wonderful as is the service. Unfortunately it is not the same food that is received when ordering carry-out. It’s either old or taste old, as well as cold. I highly recommend you visit the restaurant and dine in just please don’t order out but you will definitely enjoy your visit at the restaurant. My husband and I plan to continue to their food… but it will always be done in only.

Unfortunately, I think they would normally deserve 5 stars on the right day and at a better time. I went there at 5pm on a Monday because we really wanted oysters and they are $1 on Mondays from 4-7. We had a very rocky start. The service was very slow in the beginning and their shockingly beautiful, very fresh oysters were opened wrong and full of shells. It was so sad we offered to go in the kitchen and help. The staff was sparse and very new but extremely nice and seemed to be trying. The manager was amazing and after calling in more staff and bringing us new oysters they really turned things around. The food turned out to be finominal! In addition to the oysters, we had the corn bread, jambalaya and my 3 year old son couldn’t stop eating the fried catfish! Thinking about it all actually makes me want to go in the fridge and get my leftovers! To think a table walked out and I came close to it in the beginning as well. Guess patience really is a virtue; so glad I stayed and can’t wait to go back!

Food was great – service with Jessie was educational and fun. The blue lights were a bit much. Couldn’t read the menu and it made all of the food dark and orange – unappetizing atmosphere – couldn’t tell if I was eating shrimp or chicken or…. Maybe tone down the black lights? Otherwise it was a fun night and great to have this variety in Fairfax City!

Been there a few times now, the serving staff is great and extremely friendly. They’re very strong on their theme, so don’t expect to get bud light. Since they get the beer from far they often run out. The food is great though, so you can enjoy the food if you miss out on the drinks.

Just got back from this place and will definitely return. I have been in search of a good Jambalaya and this place was great. My co-worker had the Shrimp Poboy and he said it was excellent. We had the Beignet Trio for dessert. The Original and Honey were awesome, I’m not a huge fan of chocolate, so form you own opinion on that one. Their tea has a slight taste of honey and it was really good. The Abita Big Easy IPA was perfect. Our waitress (Colleen) was excellent; refills never had to be asked for and plates were taken away before asking so that conversation could be held without having to stack them to create elbow room. The music was a very light jazz that didn’t drown you in sound; first song playing was a lady covering House of the Rising Sun – excellent.

$1 Chesapeake Oysters during happy hour! The service during happy hour was stellar, we enjoyed the fun atmosphere and the lounge music playing in the background was soothing. The fact that you can get great quality Oysters at the $1 mark is what originally brought me in, however I didn’t stop there. I tried a alligator po’boy, and oh boy it was good! Tastes like chicken lol. The rest of the menu looked delicious and I’ll be back to try more of their NOLA cuisine in the future.

No host so we had to awkwardly hail a server. Server was new but friendly, did not give us menus for awhile. Food is overpriced, inauthentic, and way too salty. It came out fast but probably not a good sign. Live music is decent. Beer suggestion was good. Charbroiled oysters are a favorite dish of mine. Don’t get them here.
