Stopped in for a coffee, but the experience was ruined by the barista/owner with long gray hair. From the start, she was curt and dismissive, making it clear customers were more of an inconvenience than anything else. On top of that, the drinks were overpriced and honestly not that good—definitely not worth what they’re charging. Coffee shops should feel welcoming, but the rude attitude and mediocre drinks made it uncomfortable and disappointing. I won’t be returning, and I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone who values good service or good coffee.

So my wife and I who very much immersed into the coffee industry visited Grden City excited to have an iced latte to start the day. We passed this cute small coffee shop close to the beach and decided to take our business there. Once we entered the presumable owner of this business waited on my wife and I. She wasn’t quite the personality that I would say you need in a small and welcoming facility. She was shorted answered, a bit rude, and overall not very welcoming. When my wife asked if she had maple syrup, she quickly responded, “our flavors are on the board”. Now, we all have bad days. Maybe this was hers but you need to change that exchange if you want to leave a good lasting impression. Furthermore we got 2 regular iced lattes with no special requests and our bill was almost $21. I wish the business the best and I hope that the workers or owner can correct the issues it appears many customers have experienced.

We got an Americano and an oat milk latte. Both were okay. The foam was loose on the latte, not creamy, but the coffee was good.
The best part was sitting out in front of the store people and car watching. There was plenty of street parking. Just one block from the beach.

Oct 2018 This is truly a gem of a place. Arrived on Saturday and came Sunday am and Monday. Monday’s they are closed but we didn’t know that. However the owner was there and was kind enough to make us two hot cups of the local favorite, Garden City Mocha. The drink can be hot, iced or frozen. We chose hot. Not overly sweet like many coffee places. The perfect mix of coffee, sweetness and caffeine. The owner gave us some good tips on places to eat in the area and was super personable. Not only do you get a good cup of coffee but you feel like you left with a new friend.
Sept 2019 back again and so amazing to be remembered and just have that feeling of coming to a friends! Always very pleasant and the coffee is great. This time had the garden city mocha frozen and its sweet creamy and just damn delicious.

while on vacation me and my friends decided to walk on the beach to this cute coffee shop we saw the previous night. we were so excited and really looking forward to a nice coffee. when we walked in we were instantly greeted by a rude lady (assuming it’s the owner). she had a terrible attitude and was straight up miserable. we looked past it and still decided to order from this shop. i ordered a mocha iced coffee and wasn’t sure how sweet it would be. i asked the lady if i could get some cream in my coffee and she just stared at me with a disgusted look. she proceeded to say, and i quote, “WHAT? i don’t know what you’re talking about. i don’t use cream in my coffee i use milk.” i was taken back by this comment and seriously disturbed by her unnecessary attitude. not only was the owner very unwelcoming, the coffee was mediocre at best and very over priced. we come to myrtle beach every year and i will never be coming back to this shop.

This is an awesome place to grab coffee every day! Matt is great and will get to know you during your stay. Great food, great customer service and great coffee. You can’t go wrong! It’s right by the beach, so it’s super convenient, but I’d drive here if I had to. There’s parking all around, including right in front.

5 Stars – A Hidden Gem in Garden City!
Garden City Daily Grind is an absolute treasure! From the moment you walk in, you’re welcomed with warmth and kindness. The owner is genuinely one of the nicest people you’ll ever meet—attentive, friendly, and clearly passionate about creating a great experience for every guest.
The coffee? Absolutely delicious—smooth, rich, and brewed to perfection. Whether you’re grabbing a quick cup or settling in with a latte and a good book, you won’t be disappointed.
The atmosphere is cozy and inviting, the kind of place you instantly feel at home. It’s the perfect spot for a quiet morning, a casual meeting, or simply treating yourself to a peaceful break in your day.
Highly recommend stopping by—you’ll leave happier than you came in!

I stopped in for a chai latte and I was very please to have a very nice lady who was more than happy to make me one. She also had me try it before I left to see if I needed any spices added since I had told her just a few minutes before that I love a very spice filled chai.
I’m very happy and will be back for sure.

not to hate on local coffee shops for being overpriced… but this shop charged my group of 6 over 10 dollars each for an iced latte with flavor in it and was filled well below an inch from the top of the cup. first of all, we walked in only 5 minutes after they had opened but we were asked to wait while the owner took care of another customer outside of the store. (assuming she knew him). while we were inside the shop the owners puppy wouldn’t stop jumping on us and biting us. never mind that, the puppy didn’t stop barking for the 20 min we were in there after the dog was leashed. I had assumed the owner had just woken up on the wrong side of the bed this morning but based on other reviews it’s not rare people are greeted with impatience and rudeness. I had walked in and asked for a quick refill of a water i had paid extra for and was told I needed to get in the back of the line and wait despite my friends still at the front of the line paying for their own drinks. Not trying to say that I am more deserving than anyone else to get a water refilled but the lady working was quite rude and made me feel very unwelcomed. coffee was yummy but i won’t be returning. 🙁

I was really looking forward to trying a local spot while on vacation with my friends. It was only 10 am and yet most drink items were unavailable, so I ordered an iced vanilla latte with oatmilk. I never leave bad reviews, but when paying $10.26 for a medium latte, I was hoping for better quality. The drink was very watered down, flavorless and didn’t even taste like it had real espresso in it. I make a more high quality latte with my nespresso machine every morning.
