This is an excellent BBQ spot! My friends and I went after visiting Oglebay. Unassuming location, but the customer service was stellar and we felt really welcomed. The food was SO good – we did end up taking it to-go as there is no indoor seating. Highly recommend the ribs with their apple butter sauce. Everything down to the cornbread was absolutely delicious! Thank you!!

I got lost but I forgot all about that when I ate the food lol. They were very nice explained the menu and specials. The food was delicious. We got small side dishes to be on the safe side and now we know to get full portions. The ribs and smoked wings were outstanding. Will definitely go back.

While visiting from Buffalo our group stumbled on this place after a long round of golf. Most satisfying meal I’ve had in a while. Fantastic smoked chicken. The ribs had this bark that was perfect. And the sides were great. Especially the pickles and pickled onions. A couple of pic nic tables out back for seating. But I would stand in place to eat that bbq again. Must call ahead for the brisket. The person working the register was very friendly! And spoke with the guy rolling all the smoke out back. Such nice and welcoming people. They made the whole experience that much better.

Update: Returned and had the smoked brisket and pulled pork. Divine! The meat melts in ypur mouth. They gave us an assortment of sauces to try. 2 kinds of barbecue and a horseradish sauce. All were delicious. Also, try Leona’s ice cream sandwiches. They are worth the cost. We have not had a bad combination!

This place is so good. The ribs have a really good smoke to them and they fall off the bone. The Mac and cheese is soft, the beans are incredibly well seasoned. I like a BBQ that dry rubs their ribs and then just asks if you want barbecue sauce because I feel like you get the best flavor profile that way, and these are spectacular. They also offer on draft kombucha which is delicious! This restaurant is definitely a hole in the wall but there is 100% a reason for their success! Highly recommend!

This is local artisan BBQ. Everything was well made. They have a large offset smoker behind the small building housing this BBQ. There is also an Old Hickory upright smoker. I learned Thursday is brisket day and am glad my passing through town coincided with that meat. Sauces were nice to sample, but not needed to enjoy the flavor of the meats. I ate my me at one of two picnic tables outside in the shade.

Oh lord this place is good! My husband and I took a drive down from Pittsburgh for the day to explore Wheeling and we’re so glad we stopped at this gem. The husband and wife team that own the place are the nicest people we’ve come across in a long time. You can tell they’re passionate about what they do. I had the chopped brisket sandwich with a side of mac and my husband had the rib plate with collard greens and cucumber salad – all fantastic. The traditional bbq sauce and the apple butter were perfect. We also got a couple Leona’s ice cream sandwiches for dessert…delicious. The owner also let us try a fried rib which changed my life lol. If you’re in Wheeling go check this place out NOW!

Finally got to try this place and I’m now angry at myself for waiting so long! We had the Gochujang and Greek fried ribs with cornbread and macaroni salad. Wooooooowee. Meat fell right off the bone and the flavors were amazing. If I were rich I’d order one of everything.

The best BBQ I have ever had and I love BBQ. I was traveling on a business trip with two other team mates. We started looking along our path for a good restaurant to stop at. The hangover BBQ came up and it was 3 miles off of the beaten path. The service was friendly and very helpful with what was popular to eat. I ordered the brisket sandwich, jalapeño sausage link and Mac and cheese. Absolutely the best tasting brisket I have ever had. My two team mates agreed that it was their favorite also. Wheeling WV is two hours from our business in Ohio. I will make that drive on the weekend to eat there again. One downside is all carryout with a couple picnic tables outside. Don’t drive by Wheeling without trying this BBQ.
