Hunan is a solid American Chinese Food joint. They’re fast and friendly, use quality ingredients (broccoli and other veggies are fresh and cooked well.) Our go-to place when we want some Chinese takeout.

I’ve been here many times, first time reviewing but as always the food was amazing we had spicy Thai shrimp , general too chicken and pork egg foo young. The general tso chicken while a basic popular dish was the best I’ve ever tasted, lightly battered with a nice thin crisp and hearty chicken chunks. And three fluffy juicy disc’s of egg foo young. A definite restaurant anyone should try out one if the best in the area. Try the sesame noodles cold or warm they are a favorite of mine.

I can’t believe this place has been here 45 years and yet somehow this was my first time going! What a pleasant surprise. I had the szechuan beef and it was delicious. The kids enjoyed their wonton soup. The service was impeccable. And it was reasonably priced too. Definitely won’t be our last visit!

I ordered the House Lo Mein take out. It was very hearty and full of flavor. It’s the only dish I had from there. I’m sure the other dishes are the filled with the same appease and quality. They were also very fast 5minutes for a walk in order.

Nice variety of foods here with a clean attractive dining area. The food is easily one or more steps above the bounty of neighbourhood hole in the wall Chinese take outs. Even the take away food is carefully presented. When you want something special which hasn’t elevated itself into the realm of snooty prices give Hunan a try.

A go to family place. The owner understood our dietary needs the very first time and remembered it everytime we returned! That is customer care and service I have seen nowhere else. We love the vegetarian food and are regulars.

Absolutely my favorite sit down Chinese place to eat at in North Wilmington and technically all the surrounding areas! I have not found anything nearly as good as this. on top of the excellent food they also are great people, I always have a great meal and experience when I go here !

Have to update my review after several years. We have been dining and getting their takeout for 5 years now. Quality of the dine in food much better than takeout. If there is one complaint it is They consistently get takeout orders wrong. The takeout food is plain and rather bland. They used to change up the fresh vegetable blends In Their stirfrys, which was nice, but not anymore. This past week, I placed an $85 takeout order with 4 entrees and they only gave us 1 box of white rice. They keep raising their prices almost every month. Wish there were better takeout options in the area, but sadly this is about the best it gets.
