We love this place. The hot and sour soup is our favorite – perfectly balanced and so comforting. The fried rice is always spot on, and we’ve tried a few chicken dishes that were all delicious. Definitely coming back again and again

First time customer; ordered three lunch meals which came with choice of rice and roll, with no up-charge for the fried rice which was nice. We tried the Vegetable Lo- Mein, Sesame Chicken, and Crispy Scallion Chicken. Good portions, hot and delicious. I believe the total was around $32 which was a great value, we will be back for sure!

We had 3 orders of orange chicken and all 3 of them were absolutely horrible! The chicken is hard as a rock and it taste awful. After the 2nd bite we couldn’t eat it anymore. I dont know if its the chicken or the fried rice but there is a very unpleasant after taste. YUCK!! WE won’t be back.

Visited the new location today and was impressed! The staff was so friendly and professional, I love a family-owned business! I sat inside to eat and was quite hot, so I’d just suggest having a comfortable temperature for diners.
I ordered the wonton soup which had two nice sized wontons. The soup could definitely use more flavor, but for the price I won’t complain! My friend had sesame chicken and said it was good. I ordered their crispy scallion beef was yummy. I added broccoli and I appreciated how fresh the ingredients were. I’m looking forward to trying more items soon!

We love this place! I would give it 10 stars if I could. It’s the Best Chinese Takeout in the area and has become our go-to takeout restaurant. The food tastes great, and it’s fresh. Since it’s been open, we’ve ordered at least 15 times, probably every other week. We’ve had the chicken and broccoli, garlic chicken, scallion chicken, egg drop soup, and even the shrimp fried rice. The owners are so nice and the staff are also friendly.

My husband and I have had excellent Chinese food all across the nation. My aunt is from Shanghai and I myself grew up, knowing and eating authentic Chinese. There are many good locations in the South Charlotte area of all styles of Chinese cuisine (New York, Cantonese, Hong Kong, etc.), however, this is not one of them. You can get better Chinese food at a Panda Express or a hospital cafeteria. Our meals tasted like they were microwaved leftovers. Less than a mile from this location is the best New York style takeout we have had in Charlotte. We regret trying something new—this place is awful. We recommend you look elsewhere.

UPDATE: we just dined in for lunch today… wow! Best food ever, fresh and delicious. We ordered a bit of everything to try it out. Rangoons were perfect. The dumplings to die for. Rice and noodles amazing! Their rolls were great too. The service was on point. And the cleanliness was top notch, which is important to us. We will be regulars for sure.
My boys ordered a chicken fried rice and a beef fried rice. They were great portion sizes. Enough for at least 4ppl. Smelled, looked and tasted great! We are impressed with quality. Very happy they are this close to us.

My husband and I visited Taipei Express and truly enjoyed our dining experience. We ordered the scallion chicken with white rice and chicken and broccoli with fried rice. Each entree came with an egg roll. I must say, it was super tasty. My husband cleared his plate. Not even a morsel of rice remained. My toddler loved the food as well. The spice level was just right for both dishes. Not too spicy but just enough kick. Tons of flavor. I had some chicken and broccoli left over that I had planned on taking home but during our drive home I ate it. Haha! It was so good! Btw, great service. The owners are really sweet and hospitable. I would most definitely come back.
