If you’re looking for a quick, delicious takeaway bánh mì downtown, this is the spot. The staff—who are also the owners—are the kind of people you love supporting: warm, friendly, polite, and always happy to make you a great sandwich.

They also serve a fantastic iced coffee in a bubble-tea cup, which pairs perfectly with their generous portions and fair prices. Everything tastes fresh and genuinely satisfying.

Stop by Ba Le and support a wonderful family-run business. ❤️

Excellent vegan options, super delicious and fresh bahn mi, very friendly service. I come here multiple times every time I’m in Victoria, and I think about this bahn mi when I’m not here. Would highly recommend!

I really enjoyed the combination of meatball with pickled carrot and radish—great flavor! I do wish there were a few more veggies, though. It’s definitely a departure from a regular Subway sub, and a bit more vegetable variety would make it even better.

Bread was great, tasted good. But for the price it was a pretty sad amount of meat.

The only place on the Island that sells authentic Vietnamese Banh Mi (submarine sandwich) like the ones you’ll find in Vancouver. I ordered the cold cut special for $8.00 and they actually use the correct butter, pate and meats unlike other places offering Banh Mi on the Island. The subs are a bit shorter than I’ve seen and inflation raised the prices recently but that’s basically everything nowadays. Overall I still consider it well worth it and I’ll recommend this place ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Incredible sandwich. Staff were super nice and approachable, sandwich was made quickly and efficiently. Pricing is very reasonable! 10/10. I had the grilled pork I beleive and it was so delicious. Sweet and tangy. The perfect amount of cilantro. Such amazing flavours with every bite!

The sandwiches are well priced, the guy working was super friendly and very pleasant to deal with. Had 2 Banh Mi the bread was perfect and all the ingredients tasted fresh would go back for sure. The bread is what makes a good Banh Mi and this is the best of had on the island.

Tofu banh mi was terrible and dry with barely any filling on it – it was mostly just bread. I also find it obscene to charge $1.00 to add mayo to a sandwich, it’s literally a squirt of a condiment. I don’t think they actually even put it on the sandwich, it was still the driest thing ever. Salad roll was also very small for $5.00 and came with hoisin instead of peanut sauce which is weird. Wanted to try a new place but it’s not for me.

I had the classic cold cut bahn mi (#5) and it hit the spot for lunch. I’d pass on the $5 add-on for the combo – not much of a deal for a can of pop and a spring roll, but that’s just me. I might try the meatball special next time I come around!
