The service while Ordering was good. It was fast and accurate. The food was made fast. I placed
a to go order. I spent around 50 dollars. I ordered a large pozole, and i requested that they didn’t put too much meat. What I received was almost all broth, almost no hominy. They did good on not putting too much meat. All the other things I ordered were decent nothing spectacular. Will not be a returning customer.

1/12/2026 – My wife and I ate here for the 1st time. We came here from Mabank.
A hidden jewel! Very deceiving when you look at it from the outside. However, when you go inside, tastefully decorated with nice booths and tables. More spacious than it looks like from the outside. Very clean. Even the bathrooms are clean.
Now to the food. What impressed me was that everything is freshly made. The salsa was some of the best I’ve had and of course homemade. The tortillas (both flour and corn) were so fresh and good. I had the Fajita plate and a side order of street tacos. The beef was very tasty. My wife had the Chile Relleno plate. She happens to be a connoisseur when it comes Chile Relleno. She was quite impressed. We’ll eat there again as we go that way from time to time. The service was good. I recommend this restaurant.

First off the server was great and prompt to greet us so hats off to her. The food was ok by my standards the rice tho was not good very bland no flavor at all . When food was brought out the guy just handed plates didn’t even ask who ordered what the original server had to come back to give the plates outs . Beans where ok too . The tortillas are home made from the looks of things but also ver bland they can do better . They are busy in the to go area because alot of orders were to go

We were originally planning on eating at the business next door but the sign of “Birria de Chivo” (Goat Birria) got my attention.
I ordered the birria and my wife ordered a gordita de chicharron.
The birria was really good in flavor but a little on the cold side. It was definitely a plus to eat it with their homemade corn tortillas.

“Unique” is the most polite way to describe this place. The building feels like it’s caving in and everything was sticky/grimey/wobbly/uneven. My quesadilla wasn’t bad, the beans and rice were very good tho. I’m sure there are regulars who love this place but I’ll keep looking elsewhere.

Really good food and great service as well. I had the barbacoa, pastor and carnitas tacos and it came with chips and salsa. Tax, tip and a Mexican Coke and the bill was barely over 10 bucks.
The restaurant is much more spacious than the outside leads you to believe and there is plenty of seating for several groups to be eating at the same time without being on top of each other.
They also serve menudo on Sunday

Unassuming spot with generous portions, incredible flavors and friendly service. The lengua tacos were so tender with big chunks of meat. Birria tacos came with 4 in an order and packed to the max with cheese and meat. The menudo was full of meat and not spicy just how I like it. But for folks who like spicy, you will have to add stuff yourself. But I just love this place and can’t wait to go back to try other items on the menu.

This a great authentic Mexican food place! I recommend the beef tacos over the chicken. The beef has tons of flavor and is very tender. The chicken is ok but not great.
The portions are good and the slices of lime are generous. If you like it Spivey, and we do, get the green sauce!
