We stop into this restartaurany every once and if we’re passing through. The food is always consistent, aka really good, and competitively priced. The interior is OK, but I think that is to be expected of these types of establishments. The customer service is wonderful, always polite. The gentleman even brought my food outside to me, while I waited in the car with my babies, on an extremely cold day. That in itself says a lot to me and I will always be a loyal customer!!

Obviously my personal opinion but I think this place has the Best broth I’ve ever had for pho, their crab rangoon is also amazing.

Middletown Main Street strip seems to mandate a very standardized unattractive look on the outside. However this small unassuming restaurant is a total find! You walk in to counter where you order and small unfancy tables but the food is solid portioned served fast and fresh at a great price! We did get the sense that they held back on the traditional Vietnamese spice. In our multi-day stay, Pho170 is a staple. Top picks for food portion and quality – garlic beef, spicy basil beef, etc. We had mixed opinions on their Vietnamese sandwich. Boba tea was ok but the flavors were bit limited and there are other nearby options for boba. Don’t miss eating here for a happy, affordable and non greasy meal!

The best Pho around! I’m not joking. The Basil Fried Rice is yummy… it is delicious!!! Loaded with fresh vegetables and white meat chicken! I love the fact that they will also let you make changes to the dish. I don’t eat eggs… most of their dishes have eggs. I asked them not to put eggs in the Basil Fried Rice and they were very accommodating! Plus plus plus you get large portions! In today’s economy that is everything! Pho 170 is one is the best places to eat at in Middletown! High quality food…exceptional service… large portions! You can’t beat this place.

I have been obsessed with Pho since I tried it the first time. This place has definitely topped any of the others I have been to thus far. Clean space, great service, big portions. Loved it!

Friday at 11:00 a.m. and easy parking, .25 will get you 15 minutes in the meter/order took 12 minutes, so it worked out well for me.
This was my first visit, I ordered three appetizers:
WINTER SHRIMP- 4/$7.95
CHICKEN CRISPY SPRING ROLLS-4/$6.95
CHICKEN WINGS-5/$7.95
(These are wingettes, not full wings)
Each one came with a Thai sweet/spicy sauce, which was more sweet and had no spice to it
I played it safe with this order because I had never been here and the reviews overall are good, but these are items that are my go to in general and if I’m happy with these I would hope that I would be happy with an entree/dish in the future
She said they would be ready in 15 minutes And it was ready in 12
I enjoyed all three appetizers and I will go back to try and entree next visit

Great place! The rolls were AMAZING and the sauce that went with them was delicious. The roll was put together nicely and i like how they cut them in half. I got the chicken pho and it was pretty tasty, I wish there were more greens though. But they give you a lot of noodles and the broth is pretty tasty. Also the Vietnamese sandwich (bahn mi) was so good! The bread was really nice and so was the pickled veggies with the meat. The papaya salad I personally didn’t like because it had too much fish sauce for me. I would definitely come back again to eat here.

Had such a bad experience we left before we even ordered. First of all the staff looked irritated that we even walked in. No greeting at all. Just gestured for us to sit. Not even a tiny bit of friendliness or even basic acknowledgment. The waitress was sitting down eating when we came in which is fine cuz they had no customers so I didn’t care that she was having a break. BUT she kept smacking and licking her lips as she was handing us our menus and proceeded to BELCH LOUDLY right next to our table. It was disgusting!! There was also somehow a person covered in a blanket having a nap on what appeared to be some kind of bench in front of the main desk/bar. Socks out, just sleeping. It was the strangest, most off putting and downright disgusting experience. After I noticed the sock footed bench napper, we just left. Will never step foot in there again. I cannot fathom how on earth this place has such good reviews!!!! We love Thai and Vietnamese food so we were so excited to try this place. We came in around 2:30 so they were well into being open for the day. Absolutely no reason to not be ready for customers and no reason to be so gross and unfriendly! I’ve been to crappy restaurants before but I have never NEVER had to walk out before even ordering.

Everything we ordered were delicious, such as pho, banh mi and summer roll. However, pho was small in portion size. Order 2 bowls if you really want to eat, or get a second entree!

Ordered the chicken drunken noodles to go. Was ready in 10 min. This is one of my go to’s for thai. The flavor here is excellent. Portion was average.
