If I could give them a 0 – I would. They didn’t have what we ordered so had to alter order. Got home and they shorted us on a whole meal and 3 sides. Called them and they said come back( all the way across CR). Got there to find out they were completely out of what we ordered. Ruined our whole night and we don’t get very many nights to eat together. So disappointed. Will never go back. It’s a pattern for them to short take out orders hoping people will just forget it.

What you see in the picture is two orders burnt ends and one order brisket as well as two very sad looking cornbread muffins I would complain about the portions but what I got was so terrible it was hard to eat. Posting under our “official” handle TravelingbyCarr GandR…Love BBQ/smoked stuff and had 2 choices…Don’t know about the other one, but Famous Dave’s was a Famous Mistake…R got rib tips and I went with brisket…The beer was cold and so were my potatoes…The brisket was ok…R’s rib tips were very dry…When leaving, interrupted the counter girl’s cell phone session to give our opinion…”Um, sorry”…And we were sorry that we wasted time & $ at this place…

It is not a real restaurant. It is a takeout version inside another restaurant. It is good BBQ, but it is not like other famous daves in Illinois. I vote ‘meh’. Bandanas down the street is much better.

Famous Dave’s used to be pretty fair Q. Not nearly as good as Smokey D’s in Des Moines but few are. They apparently were bought out by a Canadian company who in Cedar Rapids is selling Famous Dave’s to go out of another restaurant with no FD signage at all. Poor Dave. 🙁
The food was perhaps the saddest Q I ever had. Tiny portions of sides and meat. The burnt ends did not appear to have been smoked at all. Lots of fat that was not broken down.
I would not go here again if they paid me.

Order ribs ( burnt) and pork only. Got a pork sandwich with a gross pile of cole slaw on top. Mac and cheese was dry and nasty. The beans were certainly not Famous. The only plus was the staff. They were friendly and courteous. Would not go back for any of Famous Daves food.

They should not serve Famous Dave’s because they don’t put any effort into it. Maybe they don’t want people to eat Famous Dave’s and only order their food. This was the worst. The corn seems like it was days old. The mac and NO cheese was not good. VERY DISAPPOINTED!!!

I just moved to the area and ordered here once with the 1 meat combo, today I tried the 3 meat combo and literally paid $30 for 1 peice of the smallest chicken leg 1 rib and 6 pieces of burnt ends that weren’t even burnt. The pricing and the food you’re getting doesn’t make sense. If I’m paying for $30 dollars worth of food regardless of its BBQ it should be a decent portion. You get your food thrown in a box and it looks disheveled and unappetizing, this will be my last order.

The food was awesome.. That which was received.. They only brought half of our order. When I contacted them they told me it wasn’t their problem.. Call Grub Hub.. GrubHub did their part Dave’s didn’t. No refund or help. Beware of Granite City/Daves

Terrible. Order took way longer than promised. They messed up the order and the food taste/quality wasn’t even good. For this price you can literally go almost anywhere else.
