Lovely little restaurant with very kind and friendly staff. We were in Oslo for the weekend and it was great to have some authentic Norweigan food and fresh seafood. I only wish we could come back again to try the summer menu!!

Wonderful fish restaurant in Oslo, definitely a highlight on our trip. We had minke whale stake, arctic char, and butterfried cod thongue (do not share this one, order your own set!). Everything was done perfectly. The owner was super friendly and knowledgeable about Norwegian cuisine and fish in particular. We’ll definitely come back when visiting in the future.

What a great restaurant! A simple down to earth place where you can have some of the most authentic Norwegian food. Trying the Minkie Whale steak there was a special experience. It is a gamy meat with a richer taste than beef and an amazing taste and color. The arctic char was also brilliant.
The restaurant owner is a friendly and welcoming guy. To him, thanks for the hospitality.

Amazing restaurant to try out Norwegian fish based meals.
Very tasty food and cozy environment. It seemed like the owner is both the chef and also serves.
Highly recommended.

Delightful service from a talk-able and passionate man, who’s also the chef and owner of the establishment.
And the food. The food was absolute delectable. With extravagant cuts of fish like cods tongue, angler fish and whale steak, I thoroughly enjoyed the variety of previously unexplored flavours, textures and sauces that this place offered. Highly recommend going to this place not only because it is one of the two places in Oslo that knows how to properly prepare Whale Steak (delicious and intriguing meat), but also for its loveable atmosphere and all around great cook.

This place is a must visit when you are in Oslo. Easy to get there. Very classic atmosphere, nice service, delicious food. They have a short menu, but I believe thats what they are good at. I tried the arctic char (if I am not mistaken), it was tasty. Such a beautiful fish.
I will definitely come back again when I visit Oslo!

Visiting and eating at this restaurant was one of the best choices in the matter of food in Oslo
We had a really nice experience here.
Starting with the vibe of the restaurant. It was very cozy and well decorated.
Secondly, the owner himself is preparing the food and he is very passionate about his job.
Here we tried one special dish – it was whale meat. It’s very interesting meat and in the same time very delicious.
We think that once in a life you have to try this food!
We totally recommend this restaurant in case of visiting Oslo!!!
The food and experience was amazing!

Visited the restaurant without much knowledge on its history and was surprised by the food offered. First time tried the whale steak and it is superb. Do make reservations in advance. I was lucky that I am early and saw a few walked in customers got rejected. Highly recommended.

An incredible place with a cozy homelike atmosphere and food exactly to match. Authentic Norwegian food from the Lofoten Islands. Simple but extremely delicious. The chef and owner was very attentive and nice as well. Definitely a place you have to visit if you want authentic Norwegian food in an authentic looking place too.
