Our new favorite place. Friday fish plate is great! Catfish fried perfectly. Crisp on outside and flaky on the inside. Coleslaw creamy. Hush puppies light and fluffy. The only thing that could have been better were the crinkle cut fries. They were not quite done.

Breakfast for $13.00 for two.WOW! Eggs, homefries, bacon crispy but not burnt, biscuit soft and fluffy and sausage gravy. It was so good!

We use to go there 3 or 4 times a week. They were very friendly and service was the best. The last time we went in and there hours for breakfast had changed, the service was terrible, I ordered coffee and had to go ask for a spoon to stir my coffee. Plus I had sandwich and French fries and they didn’t have a fork to eat my French fries. They were not a bit friendly! They lost a good customer!

I don’t care how a place looks. That’s not on my list of attributes when I choose a restaurant.

Where I come from we call THE IDK a Greasy Spoon. That’s a small, no frills place where the locals go. Usually it has good food, cooked the way you order it, and reasonably priced. With friendly and courteous employees.

IDK certainly has the curious and friendly attributes covered and smothered. The meal is an egg of a different color.

I ordered 2 fried eggs over easy with bacon, hashbrowns, a biscuit, coffee and water, no ice.

The biscuit was homemade and really good. The water was bottled (I wondered why). It was good also. The coffee was thin, weak, and tasted of chickory. I didn’t expect Starbucks, but I do like my coffee strong and tasting like real coffee. The eggs (remember I ordered over easy). One was over hard and the other was over well. They were also covered in bacon grease. I don’t mind the grease unless it’s dripping. They were.

The meal cost $8. On the Specials Board the cost was $5.25. I’ll give the waitress the benefit of the doubt. The cost could have been increased, by the coffee and water. However, water should be included.

All in all, on a scale of 1 to 10 I give the IDK a 3.

No oncore.

Super nice owners! We’ll be back. Also I’d like to suggest grilled stuff on the menu. Don and I try not to do bread and sugar. Also our 6 yr old requested smiley fries! Lol! Thank you
